PAGHMAN (K Gladwin) – Carried inwards and bumped at the 1400m.

MAZZARO (R Vigar) – Raced wide from the 600m.

TABLE OF WISDOM (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout.

TOM ALMIGHTY (B Huppatz) – Crowded and bumped near the 1400m.

CASHING UP (W Davis) – Unsettled in the barriers prior to the start. Bumped and crowded near the 1400m.

General – On inquiry it was established that approaching the first turn MAZZARO (R Vigar) shifted in and away from IMMUTABLE (T Treichel) resulting in PAGHMAN (K Gladwin) contacting with TOM ALMIGHTY (B Huppatz) which was crowded, and in turn CASHING UP (W Davis) was also bumped and crowded. Stewards were satisfied that no rider was at fault in this incident and no further action was taken.

Race 2: Maiden 1100m

LIBERTYS TORCH (L Crow) - Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

WICKED ALIBI (K Gladwin) – Raced wide throughout.

MASTER EXPLODER (P Shiers) – Bumped heavily at the start.

TREDICI (J Todd) – Lay outwards rounding the first turn.

STROKE OF MAGIC (C Hunter) – Bumped at the start.

Race 3: 0-62 Div1 1100m

VUNIVALU (W Davis) – Bumped at the start.

THE MONT (V Arnott) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

MADAME DUPORTH (P Denton) – Bumped at the start. Returned having bled from both nostrils. As this was the first occasion trainer L Walling – Denton was advised that the mare must be cleared to race again after a period of 3 months in accordance with AR79.

CURTAIN CALL (T Treichel) – Bumped at the start.

1ST BELMONT DAY 2ND VUNIVALU 3RD THE MONT

 

Race 4: 0-62 Div2 1100m

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to his riding instructions as his stable had multiple runners in this event.

CULZEAN (P Shiers) – Bumped at the start.

GOOD TO BE GREAT (T Treichel) - Bumped at the start.

LIVADAS (W Davis) – Bounded at the start.

TOORAK ROAD (B Huppatz) – Commenced awkwardly. Returned with blood in its mouth. The veterinarian reported the gelding had sustained a laceration to the tongue.

AMIGO MIO (V Arnott) – Yielded ground from the 600m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Rider was of the opinion her mount choked down in running and would benefit from the inclusion of a tongue tie. Trainer T Harrower advised that the gelding would undergo an endoscopic examination and he would advise Stewards accordingly of the results.

1ST HUSSLIN HUMPH 2ND TOORAK ROAD 3RD CULZEAN

 

Race 5: 0-76 1000m

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to his riding instructions as his stable had multiple runners in this event.

SAFETY DANCE (T Treichel) – Bumped at the start losing ground.

HATTAN MAN (R Vigar) – When questioned rider advised that his mount lost momentum approaching the first turn after resenting the kickback.

SILVER MELODY (J Todd) – Raced wide throughout.

DARK WHIRLWIND (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

1ST I’M TOO HOT 2ND SUPER BRYAN 3RD SAFETY DANCE

 

Race 6: 0-66 1300m

PATRIA (J Todd) – Raced wide throughout.

BULL MARKET (B Huppatz) – Crowded and bumped at the start. Returned with a laceration to the near hind fetlock.

ROSHERVILLE (V Arnott) – Raced ungenerously when resenting the kickback between the 900m and 700m.

SALTY (P Denton) – Raced wide from the 600m.

WICKED WHITT (T Treichel) – Crowded and bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout.
