Race 1: 0-66 1600m

TABLE OF WISDOM (C Hunter) – Had a tendency to lay inwards during the event.

ISLE OF LIGHT (K Gladwin) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount had failed to finish the race off as anticipated and in his opinion raced in a flat manner. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer A Forster was of the opinion that the gelding had not appreciated racing in consecutive weeks and therefore will now have a freshen up prior to racing again.

I AM IMPINGE (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide throughout.

Race 2: Maiden 1200m

WICKED ALIBI (P Hall) - Raced wide throughout.

NOAH’S HEART (V Arnott) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced in restricted room passing the 650m and yielded ground from thereon.

SECLUSION (W Davis) - Commenced awkwardly.

Race 3: BMNT 1200m

ALASSAK (R Vigar) – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

SPIELBERG (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly, dipped and then bumped at the start.

KRONOS (W Davis) – Crowded and bumped at the start. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that whilst he had ridden vigorously from the start to lead his mount had travelled comfortably in running but was immediate pressure on straightening and did not finish off the race as anticipated. As the gelding was racing first up for 28 weeks he was of the opinion it would take benefit from the performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Race 4: Open 1100m

ROGER THE ROMAN (P Hall) – Commenced awkwardly. Held tight and momentarily impeded passing the 650m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

SO STOIC (B Huppatz) - Commenced awkwardly.

Race 5: 0-62 1100m

FLASH OF THUNDER (P Hall) - Commenced awkwardly.

EXTOLMENT (P Shiers) – Raced wide throughout.

VIETTI (W Davis) – Slow into stride.

Race 6: 0-70 1100m

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to his riding instructions as his stable had multiple runners in this event.

ROCKATOMIC (P Shiers) – After yielding ground over the final 100m a post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer G Lefoe was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards and he must present a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG prior to racing again.

TWILIGHT MANEUVER (B Huppatz) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 7: 0-58 Div 1 1300m

BLAZE OF GLORY (C Hunter) – Raced wide throughout.

IRON CURTAIN (B Huppatz) – Slow into stride.

Race 8: TAB Darwin Guineas 1300m

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to his riding instructions as his stable had multiple runners in this event. Stewards also interviewed trainer T Halter in relation to her riding instructions as her stable had multiple runners in this event.

CALL ME LEGEND (T Treichel) – Slow into stride and bumped. Impeded for clear running passing the 400m and taken inwards to secure a clear run near the 150m.

DEFENCE ATTORNEY (B Huppatz) - Raced wide throughout.

MIGHTY BEAU (C Hunter) – The veterinarian reported the gelding had returned from the race lame in the off fore leg. Trainer A Forster was advised that she must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

MILITARY ROAD (P Shiers) – Carried inwards and impeded near the 1100m.

SHIFT THE RISK (R Vigar) – Following the unplaced performance an examination revealed no abnormalities but the veterinarian noted the gelding coughed post race. Trainer T Halter subsequently advised that the gelding had recovered without incident.

BLUE JEAN BABY (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout.

General – On inquiry jockey R Vigar (SHIFT THE RISK) was reprimanded under AR132 for engaging in careless riding. The specifics were that approaching the 1100m he permitted his mount to shift inwards when not fully clear resulting in MILITARY ROAD (P Shiers) being carried inwards and momentarily impeded.

1ST AUTOCRATIC 2ND CALL ME LEGEND 3RD ESCONDIDIO

 

Race 9: 0-58 Div 2 1300m

IN MODERATION (P Denton) – Crowded at the start.

MY DELILAH (C Hunter) – Carried outwards near the 700m.

NO ALIBI (J Todd) – Bumped at the start. Hampered near the 700m.

PERPETUITY (B Huppatz) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Faltered in its action near the 700m and was retired from the event. . The gelding sustained a fracture to the near fore leg and was subsequently humanely euthanized by the Club Veterinarian. A post mortem sample was collected.

CURTAIN CALL (V Arnott) – Checked by its rider near the 650m.

General – As a result of PERPETUITY (B Huppatz) losing ground quickly from the 700m, MY DELILAH, NO ALIBI and CURTAIN CALL which were following all suffered interference to varying degrees.

Pre-race samples were taken from TABLE OF WISDOM, I AM IMPINGE, HAPPY BIBI, MARSALIS, I DREAM OF JENA, SPIELBERG, ROGER THE ROMAN, CLEVER TOMMY, FLASH OF THUNDER, JOHNNY WHITESOX, ANOTHER BIT, IMA PUPPET, MINT OF MOSELY and all runners engaged in race 8.
