Race 1 JJ’s Waste & Recycling Handicap 1200m

TRUCKLOAD OF HOFFA – (B Huppatz) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.

REYNARD – (J Todd) – Bumped on several occasions in-between runners shortly after jumping. After a disappointing performance, a subsequent veterinary inspection failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

DENATIN – (T Treichel) – Commenced awkwardly veering outwards bumping with another runner. Momentarily held up for clear running entering into the straight.

MODERNAS ARROW – (L Crow) – Crowded for room on jumping clipping heels and knuckling losing ground.

DELIGHTFUL SPIRIT – (D Morgan) – Knuckled on jumping bumping with another runner.

GUARDIAN – (P Denton) – Resaddled at the barriers.

SHOAL RIVER – (W Davis) – Crowded for room on jumping.

General: Correct weight for this race was delayed after the trainer and rider of the 4th place-getter MODERNA’S ARROW, requested to view the Stewards footage of the start. After viewing the footage, correct weight was declared.

Race 2: XXXX Gold Handicap 1200m

Stewards interviewed trainer L Whittle in relation to the riding instructions she intended to issue bearing in mind she had multiple runners in this event.

REGAL EAGLE – (L Crow) – Slow into stride.

REGAL CAPTIAL – (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.

HENRY LAD – (W Davis) – Inclined to lay outwards from the 600m to the 300m when entering into the straight.

NIC NAC – (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly.

SNIP ‘N’ STARE – (R Vigar) – Knuckled on jumping and bumped with another runner. Commenced to weaken when placed under pressure after passing the 700m and finished a distant last. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. When questioned trainer advised that the mare was very unruly in the day stalls today which is uncharacteristic behaviour and after missing the start, the mare appeared to resent the kickback when racing back in the field which is not the normal racing pattern. Trainer further advised that the mare had recovered from the event without incident.

KING KAZOU – (C Hunter) – Slow into stride and raced wide throughout.

Race 3: BT Daley Painting Handicap 1100m

BLAZING RANGE – (P Denton) – After commencing slow into stride was tightened for room in-between runners.

NORIAYGA – (B Huppatz) – Steadied off heels at the 900m when racing forward.

VALENCIANO – (L Crow) – Knuckled on jumping and raced wide throughout.

MILITARY FORCES – (W Davis) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

Race 4: Yeperenye Shopping Centre Handicap 1100m

ROUGHLY declared a late scratching at 4:08pm on veterinary advice after a mishap in the barriers.

As there was no book-maker on-course, no deductions were applicable.

BLAZING BULLET – (P Denton) – Slow into stride.

TOMAHAWK LAD – (L Crow) – Raced wide throughout.

COLDROCK – (R Vigar) – Began to yield ground from the 700m.

Race 5: Ladbrokes Odds Boost Handicap 1600m

THAT’S JUSTIFIED – (W Kerford) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure from the 100m.

ASH GREY – (R Vigar) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight.

DOON BUGGY – (J Todd) – Commenced to race wide from the 900m.

OLIVARES – (C Hunter) – Commenced a little awkwardly.

Race 6: Think Water Alice Springs Handicap 1400m

OSIRIS – (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner and losing some ground.

SOLARCRAFT – (J Todd) – Subsequent to the meeting trainer reported that the gelding had been examined by his veterinarian and confirmed an injury to the off fore tendon had been sustained. A veterinary clearance must be presented should the gelding be nominated to race again. Trainer further advised that the gelding would be retired.

MISS HARDROCK – (D Morgan) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. After a disappointing performance, a subsequent veterinary inspection failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

QUE PASA – (R Vigar) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

DON’T DARE ASK – (W Davis) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
