Stewards interviewed trainer L Whittle in relation to the riding instructions she intended to issue bearing in mind she had multiple runners in this event.
ALVIN PURPLE (W Kerford) – Shifted outwards from the 100m under pressure bumping with another runner on several occasions.
SHERPA TRAIL (B Huppatz) - Commenced awkwardly.
CHOPSTICKS (D Morgan) – Commenced to lay inwards under pressure from the 150m bumping with another runner on several occasions. Cast its near fore plate in running.
SNIP N STARE (R Vigar) – Slow into stride.
VALENCIANO (L Crow) – Knuckled on jumping.
WEDGEBROOK (W Davis) – Dipped slightly on jumping.
MILITARY FORCES (C Hunter) – Tightened for room between runners on jumping losing some ground. Commenced to race wide from the 700m.

Race 2: Ladbrokes Back Yourself Handicap 1200m
EIGHTEEN BOMBERS ($18) declared a late at 2:31pm by order of the Stewards after refusing to load.
As there was no book-maker 0n-course, no deductions were applicable.
Trainer Ken Rogerson was advised that prior to that gelding again starting in a race, it must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards and load in a more timely manner. Trainer further advised that the gelding will now be retired from racing.
THAT’S JUSTIFIED (R Vigar) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure from the 200m.
TRYSTOFF (D Morgan) – Slow into stride. Had to steady when momentarily tightened for room along the rails approaching the 600m.
EXONERATE (P Denton) – Slow into stride after jumping a little awkwardly.

KING CRAB (L Crow) – Crowded for room on jumping.
GUARDIAN (A Lindsay) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Commenced to lay inwards under pressure from the 200m.
OOPSA DAISY (B Huppatz) – Commenced awkwardly.
STILL JUSTIFIED (R Vigar) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Layed outwards throughout the event. Raced wide entering into the straight and continued to shift outwards down the length of the straight.
THE AMZING TAHLIA (T Treichel) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
LITTLE CHOO CHOO (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and raced wide throughout.
MISS HARDROCK (D Morgan) – Commenced awkwardly. After a disappointing run today and at its previous start, trainer S Westover advised that the filly will now be retired from racing.

RAWTEKK (W Kerford) – Commenced to lay inwards under pressure from the 100m.
REGAL CAPITAL (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly.
KUMMERLINGS (C Hunter) – Steadied at the 500m when racing forward.

LEAVE IT TO ME ($13) declared a late scratching at 4:27pm by order of the Stewards after refusing to load.
As there was no book-maker on-course, no deductions were applicable.
Trainer L Gillett was advised that as the filly has failed to load at both its only starts, it must now trial on 2 occasions with the emphasis on its behaviour behind the barriers and to load in a timely manner.

SENSATIONAL EFFORT (D Morgan) – Commenced awkwardly shifting inwards. Raced wide throughout.
PREEMPTIVE (L Crow) – After commencing awkwardly, was crowded for room and consequently clipped the heels of another runner causing its rider to be dislodged taking a seemingly harmless fall.
NORIAYGA (B Huppatz) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
FIONNLAGH (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly shifting inwards bumping with another runner.
SPEEDYCOM (A Lindsay) – Crowded for room between runners on jumping.

Race 7: Cummins Mill Butterfields Farm Direct Handicap 1600m
Stewards interviewed trainer M Nyhan in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind he had multiple runners in this event.
HENRY LAD declared a late scratching at 5:04 on veterinary advice after its trainer notified Stewards prior to race one that he had a concern with the gelding. A veterinary examination and re-examination prior to race 7 was conducted and the gelding was found to be suffering from mild colic.
AMERICAN STAR (L Crow) – Fractious in the barriers and slow away.
GRAB FOR POWER (D Morgan) – Knuckled on jumping.
FINALS TIME (W Kerford) – Commenced awkwardly and tightened between runners soon after.
