THE AUDITOR (K Gladwin) – The veterinarian reported that the gelding required treatment post race for an ulcerated right eye.

GRINZINGER BREW (V Arnott) – Bumped and buffeted at the start.

CLASSY LAD (A Lindsay) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Raced wide throughout.

SCHILLERTIN (T Treichel) – Slow to muster early speed.

TOTAL FAITH (V Arnott) – Rider reported that her mount resented the kickback and as a result lost momentum passing the 700m.

HATTAN MAN (S Tsaikos) – Bounded at the start. Raced wide throughout.

EL SICARIO (P Shiers) – Commenced awkwardly.

TWILIGHT MANEUVER (A Lindsay) – Raced wide throughout.

GOOD TO BE GREAT (W Davis) – Returned having bled from both nostrils. Trainer P Cole was advised of the provisions of AR79.

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to his riding instructions as his stable had multiple runners in this event.

SUPER BRYAN (A Nicholls) – Raced wide throughout.

ANOTHER BIT (J Todd) – Slow into stride. Rider reported that after missing the start his mount failed to muster early speed despite his efforts and then commenced to resent the kickback racing into the first turn. He explained that when taken outwards leaving the 600m the gelding responded to his urgings and made up ground in the home straight.

COLHOUN (A Lindsay) – Commenced awkwardly.
