Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as his stable had multiple runners in the event.

SALTY (A Lindsay) – Raced wide throughout.

CLASSY LAD (S Tsaikos) – The veterinarian reported that the gelding returned lame in the off hind leg. Trainer P Cole was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

General – Following this event jockey A Nicholls was examined by the Paramedics as he was feeling unwell due to being dehydrated. He was unable to continue riding and the following riding replacements were approved:

Race 2: EOKALIO - T Treichel

Race 4: CRAZY SUSPECT - T Treichel

Race 6: NUMBER ONE STAR – S Tsaikos

 

Race 2: 0-58 1300m

CUBAN MINT (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout.

IMMUTABLE (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

Race 3: WFA 1200m

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as his stable had multiple runners in the event.

IM TOO HOT (W Davis) – Raced ungenerously into the first turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with an elevated heart rate.

PATRIA (T Treichel) – Slow into stride.

Race 4: Maiden 1200m

Stewards interviewed trainer G Lefoe in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as his stable had multiple runners in the event.

DEADIDIC (A Lindsay) – Commenced awkwardly.

MR AZEEM (J Todd) – Commenced to lose ground from the 900m and failed to race competitively. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer G Lefoe advised that the gelding will now be retired.

BELLA RUBINO (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly.

NTOMBAZI (B Huppatz) – Hampered shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout.

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as his stable had multiple runners in the event.

NUMBER ONE STAR (A Nicholls) was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 4.35pm on veterinary advice. The gelding had proved difficult to load onto a float and after arriving late on course underwent a veterinary examination and was diagnosed with an elevated heart rate.

IKNOW WHERE YOULIV (W Davis) – Raced wide throughout.

AMIGO MIO (A Lindsay) – Following the uncompetitive performance trainer T Harrower advised the gelding would now be retired.
