KALMAR (J Todd) – Got its head in the air at the start. Lay outwards rounding the home turn and continued to shift considerable ground outwards when tested in the straight. Trainer G Clarke was interviewed in relation to his future intentions as the gelding had lay outwards in previous race starts. After consultation with connections, he subsequently advised that the gelding will now leave his stable and relocate to Queensland as he is of the opinion that the gelding may be more suited to racing in an anti-clockwise direction. In this circumstance, a warning was placed on the gelding’s racing manner.
KOWLOON KID (A Nicholls) – Slow into stride. Following the unplaced performance a veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore. Trainer G Clarke was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.
