ELLE A WALKING (B Huppatz) – Bumped at the start.

KAPTAN APOLLO (J Todd) – Raced Wide throughout. After a disappointing performance, the rider reported his mount was inclined to lay outwards at in the middle stages and was under pressure from the 600m and failed to run on in the straight. A post-race examination revealed no abnormalities.

ESCONDIDO (K Gladwin) – Bumped at the start. After a disappointing performance, the rider reported that his mount resented the kick back and was inclined to lay outwards out rounding the home turn and into the straight. A post-race examination revealed the gelding to have an elevated heart rate.

Race 2: BM54 1200m

TREBLA (K Gladwin) – A post-race examination revealed the gelding sustained a laceration to the near fore pastern.

COUNT OF ESSEX (J Todd) – The veterinarian reported that the gelding required treatment post-race for an ulcerated right eye.

MISTER HAY ZEE (B Huppatz) – A post-race examination revealed the gelding sustained a laceration to the off hind pastern.

EXPLORATION (V Arnott) – Wide throughout.

EL SICARIO (J Philpot) – Became fractious in the barriers and reared, a pre-race Veterinary inspection revealed the gelding was lame in both hind legs the gelding was declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards at 4.17pm. All bets placed on El Sicario were ordered to be refunded and all successful win and place bets placed prior to 4.17pm were subject to the following deductions:

Trainer P Johnstone was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.

MR MOFEED (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly. Returned having bled from one nostril. Trainer P Cole was advised of his obligations under AR79(8). Trainer advised the gelding will be sent for a spell.

COLHOUN (V Arnott) – Cast the off fore plate in running.

EXTOLMENT (A Nicholls) – Following the unplaced performance a veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near hind. Trainer E Steel was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

CANTON KID (J Todd) – Bumped at the start

INTIMIDATING (B Huppatz) – Eased off heals at the 700m.

Race 4: Maiden 1100m

LOVE OVER GOLD (J Todd) – Commenced to hang outwards approaching the first turn and then veered outwards abruptly passing the 600m. Raced wide from thereon and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer G Clarke was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.

CHILLICHOC (C Hunter) – Bounded at the start and refused to stretch out and took no part in the event. A post-race examination revealed no abnormalities.

Trainer G Lefoe was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again. Trainer undertook to monitor Chillichoc’s recovery and will advise stewards accordingly.

CYCLONIC GIRL (V Arnott) – Refused to load after numerous attempts and was declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards at 5.22pm. All bets placed on CYCLONIC GIRL were ordered to be refunded and all successful win and place bets placed prior to 5.22pm were subject to the following deductions:

Trainer J Manning was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.
