TESTINO (D Stanley) – Returned having bled from both nostrils. Trainer T Halter was advised of the provisions of AR79.

FLOREAT PICA (W Davis) – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

Race 2: 0-58 1200m

REALLY SWISH (S Miller) – Steadied inwards across heels near the 150m to obtain clear running.

TIMBER TOP (S Wiseman) – Slow into stride.

HUCKLEBERRY (J Lyon) – Raced wide throughout.

NICANTELLYA (D Stanley) – Tightened for room and restrained leaving the 950m.

General – On inquiry apprentice A Lindsay was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) with the specifics being that leaving the 950m she permitted her mount LIONEL to shift inwards when insufficiently clear resulting in NICANTELLYA (D Stanley) being tightened for room and restrained. Apprentice A Lindsay had her license to ride in races suspended for 1 NT meeting to expire after 3 July, 2021. She was advised of her right of appeal.

BULL MARKET (S Wiseman) – Steadied leaving the 700m.

RADIO ROOM (J Philpot) – Raced wide on straightening.

PEMBROKE CASTLE (S Miller) – Raced wide throughout.

SUPREME ATTRACTION (D Stanley) – When questioned rider reported that when crossed by another runner and the pace eased his mount raced keenly between the 900m and the 700m.

Race 4: 0-62 1100m

KYD ROCK (A Nicholls) – Raced wide throughout.

PRINCE OF ARRAN (D Stanley) – Slow into stride and then bumped at the start.

THE TROOPER (S Tsaikos) – Bumped heavily at the start.

BAR GEM (B Huppatz) – Slow into stride. Steadied whilst racing keenly and inside the heels of another runner near the 700m.

SOLDIEROFTHEBRAVE (A Lindsay) – Bumped heavily and crowded onto another runner at the start.

SILVER MELODY (J Todd) – Bumped heavily at the start.

SOMMERVELL (W Davis) – Bounded at the start and then veered inwards abruptly making heavy contact with another runner.

Race 5: 0-76 1000n

TRYSTOFF (J Philpot) – Slow into stride. Impeded for clear running when making ground inside the final 50m.

OUR LUCA (P Denton) – Returned having bled from the off side nostril. Trainer K Petrick was advised of the provisions of AR79.

SO STOIC (D Stanley) – Fractious in the barriers. Knuckled at the start. Returned having bled from the off side nostril. Trainer C Pollard was advised of the provisions of AR79.

HEIMEL (J Lyon) – Raced wide throughout.

BEERMINT (S Wiseman) - Fractious in the barriers. Bounded at the start.

Race 6: Maiden 1300m

CREATIVE CONTROL (P Shiers) – Carried outwards passing the 650m. Checked at the 300m.

GUNNERSIDE (D Stanley) – Post race the gelding received veterinary treatment for a wound to the off hock. Trainer K McCarroll must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

LIZ DELIGHT (S Miller) – Severely checked at the 300m.

OGRIM (K Gladwin) – Clipped heels and fell dislodging the rider at the 300m. The veterinarian reported the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg and to have abrasions to the off knee and shoulder. Trainer M Rumble must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

OLIVER BULLET (S Tsaikos) – Raced wide throughout.

RANCESKI (J Todd) – Dwelt at the start and then veered inwards having to steady off heels. Stumbled over a fallen runner and dislodged the rider at the 300m. Trainer S Bottomley subsequently reported that the gelding had recovered without any notable issues.

THE UNKNOWN (B Sweeney) – Unable to avoid a fallen runner at the 300m and fell heavily dislodging the rider. The veterinarian reported that the gelding was initially sedated but then was euthanized on humane grounds due to internal haemorrhaging.

LIT (A Lindsay) – Commenced awkwardly. Checked and unbalanced at the 300m. When questioned regarding the performance rider reported the mare raced ungenerously in the early stages and failed to race competitively. Trainer K Lamprecht was advised that the mare must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.

General – Jockeys K Gladwin, B Sweeney and J Todd were attended to by the oncourse paramedics and transported to Royal Darwin Hospital for further medical treatment.

An inquiry into the reason for OGRIM clipping heels and falling was opened and adjourned to a date to be fixed.

Race 7: ROANT Gold Cup 1300m

This event was abandoned at 6.00pm as there was no replacement ambulance available.

General

Post-race swab samples taken from all winners. Pre-race samples taken from TIMBER TOP, MINI BOOM, TOMAHAWK LAD, MIROKU, PRINCE OF ARRAN, BEERMINT, GUNNERSIDE, RANCESKI, NEWMATIC SANDS, HANDSOME RETURN, HEAVENLY EMPORER & RESERVE STREET. A post mortem sample was taken from THE UNKNOWN.
