Race 1 Royal Flying Doctors Service 90 Years Handicap 1100 metres

SHINING MANE (T Gillett) – Tightened between runners at the 250m.

HENRY LAD (W Kerford) – Raced wide throughout.

EXERT (D Morgan) – Rolled inwards at the 400m.

REWARD FOR RICHES (R Vigar) – Shifted outwards rounding the home turn onto another runner. Rider reminded of his obligations to ensure he is clear of other runners when allowing his mounts to shift ground.

MAUDY (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner. Raced a little ungenerously into the first turn.

ELLISON (K Gladwin) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Steadied off heels at the 400m.

General: On inquiry apprentice D Morgan (EXERT) in the company of his master G Connor, was reprimanded for careless riding under AR137(a) for allowing his mount to shift inwards when not fully clear near the 400m resulting in ELLISON being impeded for room.

Race 2: Jimmy Darcy Handicap 1100 metres

DANOXIE (D Morgan) – Inclined to shift inwards under pressure down the length of the straight.

MY GIDDY AUNT (K Gladwin) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

HECTIC (B Huppatz) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

OHTHEGIRLCANGO (W Cave) – Commenced awkwardly. Steadied off heels at the 700m.

MITOCHONDRIA (J Todd) – Steadied off heels at the 900m. Shifted inwards at the 700m when racing ungenerously.

REMEMBER RAZOR (T Gillett) – Slow into stride.

Race 3: Clifford Peel 3YO Handicap 1100 metres

Stewards interviewed trainer L Gillett in relation to the riding instructions she intended to issue her riders bearing in mind she had multiple runners.

MAIDEN GRACE (J Todd) – Inclined to shift outwards under pressure from the 100m.

RAZOR STORM (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly.

MAMA JAY JAY (K Gladwin ) – Raced wide early.

Race 4: John Flynn Handicap 1400 metres

SNOWTROOPER (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner on several occasions from the 150m.

BEDISGUISED (W Cave) – Slow into stride bumping with another runner.

THAT’S JUSTIFIED (W Kerford) – Bounded out the barriers.

QUANTUM DOT (M Hagley) – Bumped on several occasions with another runner from the 150m.

HEART OF RED (D Morgan) – Raced wide into the first turn.

EXONERATE (K Gladwin) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

Race 5: Alf Traeger Handicap 1200 metres

MAGNUS BAY (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner. Got its head up whist being restrained off heels at the 800m.

FINALS TIME (W Cave) – Commenced awkwardly losing some ground.

BIANCONI’S SON (D Morgan) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight. Raced wide throughout.

HOWNOWBROWNCOW (M Hagley) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

Race 6: Dawn & Bill Prior Handicap 1200 metres

WINDSOR CUP was a late withdrawal at 4:43 on veterinary advice after being found to be lame in the near-fore leg. Trainer advised that a veterinary certificate of soundness satisfactory to the Stewards must be produced prior to again starting in a race.

With no bookmaker on course Stewards were not required to announce betting deductions.

WINGARD’S MARK (T Gillett) – Commenced awkwardly.

CELEBRAKTI (M Hagley) – Dipped slightly on jumping. Raced wide throughout.
