Race 1 Vale Ian Builder Handicap 1200 metres

Stewards interviewed trainer L Whittle in relation to the riding instructions she intended to issue bearing in mind she had multiple runners in the event.

LILLIE EVANGELENE (M Hagley) was declared a late scratching at 12.20pm following a veterinary examination revealed the gelding was lame in the off fore following a mishap whilst being transported to the racecourse. Trainer P Gardner was advised that prior to again starting in a race, a veterinary certificate of fitness satisfactory to the Stewards must be produced.

MAGNUS BAY (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly.

DUVET (T Gillett) – Fractious prior to the start. Shifted ground inwards when yielding ground near the 250m.

URBAN BOURBON (K Gladwin) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide rounding the home turn.

COPERNICUS (B Huppatz) – Knuckled at the start. Steadied inwards across heels at the 250m.

DANOXIE (R Vigar) – Momentarily held up rounding the home turn. Shifted outwards when being ridden along near the 250m.

SHINING MANE (L Crow) – Lay inwards in the straight and in particular when tested with the whip leaving the 100m with the rider having to stop riding and straighten her mount.

General – On inquiry it was established that on straightening COPERNICUS (B Huppatz) when improving had to be steadied inwards across heels when DUVET (T Gillett) shifted inwards when yielding ground and DANOXIE (R Vigar) shifted outwards when being ridden along. Whilst Stewards were of the opinion that there was contributing factors that caused this incident, jockey R Vigar was nonetheless advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

Race 2: Ladbrokes Pioneer Park Maiden Plate 1100 metres

SNAPPY TIME (C Spry) – Slow into stride and bumped at the start. Lay outwards under pressure in the straight.

KUMMERLINGS (L Crow) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

MAIDEN GRACE (R Vigar) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 3: Ladbrokes Cash Out Handicap 1000 metres

PYXIS (D Morgan) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.

EVIL MISS (W Kerford) – Cantankerous in the saddling enclosure and en route to the start. Proved difficult to load delaying the start.

THE HUMMEL (D Tourneur) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and raced wide throughout.

Race 4: Perks Audit Handicap 1000 metres

Stewards interviewed trainer L Whittle in relation to the riding instructions bearing in mind she had multiple runners.

SHAMPERS (L Crow) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and raced wide throughout.

BLAZING BULLETT (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

LUCK’S A CHANCE (R Vigar) – Raced wide throughout.

OUR TICKETS (W Kerford) – Bumped at the start. Raced wide in the early stages.

HECTIC (B Huppatz) – Inclined to lay outwards from the 600m to the 400m.

SAARLAY (C Johnson) – Raced wide throughout the event with no cover.

DELIGHTFUL SPIRIT (T Gillett) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

Race 5: Wally Huntly Memorial Handicap 1400 metres

MITOCHONDRIA (J Todd) – Refused to load into the barriers and was subsequently declared a late scratching at 3.42pm. Stewards were not required to release deductions on course as there was no bookmaker fielding at the meeting. Trainer L Whittle was advised that the mare must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again

BRAZILLIANT (B Huppatz) – Bumped with another runner close to the finish when tightened for room.

CELEBRAKTI (D Morgan) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced in restricted room rounding the 1200m turn. Held up for clearing and impeded on several occasions inside the final 100m.

CHIMA (L Crow) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and also nearing the finish line.

FINALS TIME (R Vigar) – Commenced a little awkwardly.

EXONERATE (K Gladwin) – Raced wide throughout the event.
