MANAAJIM (S Tsaikos) – Momentarily steadied near the 175m.
General – On inquiry jockey V Arnott (COWLEY’S CREEK) was reprimanded for careless riding under AR131(a) for allowing her mount to shifted inwards when not clear resulting in MANAAJIM (S Tsaikos) being momentarily steadied near the 175m.

Race 3: Maiden 1200m
ANTONIO (I Luximon) – Commenced awkwardly and raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages and finished well back. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer C Pollard was advised that due to the uncompetitive performance the gelding must barrier trail to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.
LEAKED (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout.
MALIBU EDITION (S Wiseman) – Mistrode passing the 650m.

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in regards to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind the stable had all the runners in this event.

KENT STREET (C Hunter) - Commenced awkwardly and hampered at the start.

LA TRIOLI (J Todd) – Fractious in the barriers and bounded at the start losing ground.
WILD ROVER (P Shiers) – Raced wide throughout.
TOORAK ROAD (I Luximon) – Returned having bled from the off side nostril. Trainer C Pollard was advised the gelding must gallop satisfactorily in the presence of a Steward prior to racing again.
CASSATT (W Davis) – Underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers and was cleared to compete.
