Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to his riding instructions as the stable had multiple runners in this event.

REALLY SWISH (C Hunter) – Slow into stride. Returned having bled from both nostrils (1^st time). Trainer C Pollard was advised of the provisions of AR79(4).

Race 2: 0-76 Handicap – 1200m

VALANTINA STAR (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout.

MIGHTY MURT (P Denton) – Crowded between runners at the start.

OBLIGATORY (J Todd) – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near hind leg. Trainer G Clarke was advised that the gelding will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.

EL MAGNIFICENCE (W Davis) – Returned with a laceration to the near hind pastern.

RICH FEELINGS (P Denton) – Raced wide throughout.

DREAM WEAVER (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Lay outwards through the middle stages.
