Race 1 A J COURIERS & HAULAGE HANDICAP 1200 METERS:

ESASHI (S Tsaikos) – Fractious in the barriers and commenced awkwardly. After a disappointing performance, a veterinary examination of the filly failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. Rider reported that in his opinion, his mount did not handle the track.

GOLDEN RIPPLES (J Philpot) – Fractious in the barriers.

Race 2 BARKLY PLUMPING HANDICAP 1100 METERS:

POLICY (S Tsaikos) – Fractious in the barriers and knuckled on jumping.

DREAMTIME LADY (S Fawke) – Slow into stride and momentarily tightened for room shortly after. Raced wide throughout.

Race 3 T & J CONTRACTORS MAIDEN PLATE 1000 METERS:

GABRIANA declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 12:00pm when found to be lame in the off front leg.

Trainer T Gillett was advised that a veterinary certificate of soundness must be produced prior to that mare again starting in a race.

REDENZO LAD (C Hunter) – Bumped with another runner shortly after jumping.

SHORTBALL (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly.

ABOVE EVERAGE (J Philpot) – Inclined to over-race in the early stages but began to yield ground while getting its head up from the 700m. Rider reported that the gelding resented the kickback.

SAIKEN (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner shortly after jumping.

Race 4 RONIN SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES HANDICAP 1450 METERS:

BULL MARKET (S Fawke) – Slow into stride and raced wide throughout.

SHIFT THE RISK (W Davis) – Fractious in the barriers. Underwent a veterinary examination after breaking through the front of the barriers and going a short distance and was subsequently cleared to start.

1^ST VALENCIANO 2^ND ME CABO 3^RD NEW ROMAN

 

Race 6 REMOTE INDUSTRIES AUSTRALIA TENNANT CREEK CUP 1600 METERS:

EXONERATE (J Philpot) – Began to yield ground from the 1000m with the rider electing to pull the gelding out of the event down the home straight. Rider reported that the gelding mistrode about the 700m and she was of the opinion that it may have suffered an injury and elected to pull the gelding out of the event. A subsequent veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

Under the circumstances, trainer C Hunter was advised that prior to racing again, the gelding must trial in a competitive manner.
