MURGANELLA (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and unbalanced the rider. Hard ridden through the early and middle stages. Following the unplaced performance a post race veterinary examination revealed gelding to have an elevated heart rate.

NORTHERN FACTOR (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly.
IMA PUPPET (C Hunter) – Cast both front plates in running.

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clark in relation to his riding instructions as the stable had multiple runners in this event.
SEBRAKATE (A Nicholls) – Returned having bled from both nostrils and as this was the first episode trainer D Bates was advised of the provisions of AR79.
BEL’S BANNER (S Tsaikos) – Raced wide throughout. Returning to scale the rider reported that in his opinion their seemed to be something amiss with the mare. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities
