FANTASY EAGLE (C Hunter) – Slow into stride and inclined to lay inwards under pressure from the 200m.
RADIO ROOM (J Todd) – Shifted outwards at the 1100m and momentarily held up for clear running from the 500m to the 400m.
GOLDEN RIPPLES (S Fawke) – Slow into stride bumping with another runner. Taken outwards at the 1100m by another runner.

Race 2: JJ’S Waste Handicap 1200 metres
DOON BUGGY (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner and raced wide throughout.
NICOTERA P Denton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and inconvenienced for room shortly after and raced wide throughout.
TRAVANTI (S Fawke) – Raced wide throughout.

QUALIS (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly losing some ground.
SAIKEN (C Hunter) – Inclined to race a little erratic in the early stages of the event.
RHYTHMICAL (S Fawke) – Knuckled severely on jumping dislodging its rider.
FUTURE DREAMS (S Tsaikos) – Taken inwards leaving the 700m by the riderless runner causing its rider to steady off heels.
General: S Fawke was subsequently examined by paramedics and was cleared to continue with his riding engagements for the day.

Race 4: Landbrokes Switch Maiden Maiden Plate 1200 metres
ANANAGRAM (S Wiseman) – Slow into stride and raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
ABOVE AVERAGE (P Shiers) – Bumped with another runner on jumping becoming unbalanced.
TOGUSHI (S Fawke) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.
BEAN SHOPPIN (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

Race 5: Peter Kittle Motor Company Handicap 1100 metres
LIDO BEACH (S Fawke) – Slow into stride.
DEFACTOR (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.
LIKE A HEARTBEAT (S Wiseman) – Dipped on jumping. Shifted outwards off heels at the 250m to avoid the heels of a runner yielding ground.
SALBRIS (C Hunter) – Began to yield ground from the 400m. Rider was of the opinion that the mare may have mistrode about the 400m and therefore elected not to test the mare out down the length of the straight. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near fore. Trainer W Savage was advised that prior to again racing, a veterinary certificate of soundness satisfactory to the Stewards, must be produced. Trainer subsequently advised that the mare will now be retired from racing.

Race 6: Daryl Braithwaite 17 Sept Handicap 1000 metres
DEVIL’S TEMPTATION (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly. After a disappointing performance, a veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
ROUGHLY (W Davis) –Commenced awkwardly.
CYCLONITE (S Wiseman) – Inclined to lay outwards rounding the home turn.
MATHEMATICS (P Denton) – Slow into stride.
ARROGANT MISS (J Philpot) – Commenced awkwardly.
THE AMAZING TAHLIA (S Fawke) – Slow into stride. Steadied off heels at the 600m and again at the 450m when racing forward.
