Race 1: Silks Roof Top Sessions 0-70 Handicap – 1300m

LOTION (P Shiers) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 2: bet365 Odds Drift Protect Handicap -1200m

GIANT LEAP (J Todd) – Raced wide throughout.

BLUE ODYSSEY (C Hunter) – Veered inwards and bumped at the start. Lay inwards abruptly and bumped another runner approaching the 650m and further had a tendency to lay inwards in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed to gelding had sustained an injury to the near fore suspensory ligament. Trainer G Clarke was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance and the gelding must satisfactorily barrier trial prior to racing again.

DOMINUS (J Hampson) – Crowded and bumped at the start. Raced in restricted room leaving the 650m and steadied losing ground at the 600m.

General – On inquiry it was established that BLUE ODESSEY (C Hunter) lay inwards abruptly near the 650m causing interference to DOMINUS (J Hampson). Stewards were of the opinion that this occurred despite the efforts of jockey C Hunter and therefore no further action was taken.

Race 3: ROANT Day 25th June 0-58 Handicap – 1200m

MANGIONE (C Hunter) – Slow to muster early speed. Raced wide from the 600m.

TOMB RAIDER (S Fawke) – The veterinarian reported that the gelding returned with blood in the right nostril caused from a laceration.

REAL REASON (J Hampson) – The veterinarian confirmed that the gelding returned with blood in its mouth from a laceration of the tongue.

KICK IT BABY (W Davis) – Stood flat footed at the start losing considerable ground. As the mare had a warning placed on this behaviour previously, trainer P Cole was advised that the mare must now barrier trial satisfactorily prior to racing again.

Race 4: Hygain Off The Track Trobis Maiden Plate – 1100m

POP MAGIC (S Tsaikos) – Lay outwards rounding the 650m turn.

CUDGERIE (C Hunter) – Slow into stride.

SHAMROCK LASS (V Arnott) – Crowded and lost momentum near the 650m.

Race 5: Ladbrokes Mates Mode 0-64 Handicap – 1100m

MANLY COVE (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly.

NEW ROMAN (C Hunter) – Raced wide throughout. Lay inwards in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

EMERALD COURT (S Fawke) – Momentarily impeded from heels rounding the home turn.

1ST GLOBAL WONDER 2ND MANLY COVE 3RD EMERALD COURT

 

Race 6: Lexus of Darwin 0-58 Handicap – 1600m

MURGANELLA (J Todd) – Carried outwards and hampered losing ground approaching the 1400m.

NASHWAH (W Davis) – Lay outwards significantly racing into the 1400m turn and continued to race ungenerously taking no competitive part in the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the off fore leg. Trainer P Cole was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance and the mare must barrier trial satisfactorily prior to racing again.
