SHOAL RIVER (L Crow) – Fractious in the barriers and commenced awkwardly momentarily being tightened between runners shortly after.

FUTURE DREAMS (S Tsaikos) – Commenced awkwardly and taken outwards by another runner from the 200m.
DEBBONAIRE BOY (J Hampson) – Inclined to lay outwards under pressure from the 200m. Rider reminded of her obligations to stop riding and straighten her mounts when they are shifting ground.
WINTER HARBOUR (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly.
MORPHLING (J Philpot) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
TREDICI (L Crow) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
General; Correct weight for this event was delayed after the rider of the second placegetter S Tsaikos (FUTURE DREAMS) lodged a protest against the winner DEBBONAIRE BOY (J Hampson) alleging interference down the length of the straight. After considering all the evidence, the protest was dismissed and Stewards ordered all placing’s to stand.
