General: As jockey J Philpot became unavailable to ride at today’s meeting, the following action was taken:-

Race 1 FREDDY THE EAGLE Scratched as no other rider was available.

Race 2 WATCH THE DUCK Scratched as no other rider was available.

Race 5 CUDJERIE S Tsaikos replaced J Philpot

 

Race 1: TAB 0-58 Handicap – 1300m

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

BRIMARVI ROOBOY (C Hunter) – Raced wide throughout.

AFTERNOON TEA (W Davis) – Following the unplaced performance a veterinary examination revealed the mare to have an elevated heart rate.

NO STRINGS (J Todd) – Rider advised that after having to steady off heals at the 1200m his mount overreacted by getting his head up for a number of strides.

Race 2: Sitzler TROBIS C2 Handicap - 1200m

Stewards interviewed trainer T Halter in relation to the riding instructions she intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

WILD ROVER (P Shiers) – Following the unplaced performance a veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained a laceration to the off fore leg. Raced wide throughout.

BAT PAD (A Nicholls) – As there was no other rider available, A Nicolls was permitted to ride 1.5kg above the allotted weight. Bumped at the start.

RUBY RUBY RUBY (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped with another runner.
