MI MIJO (S Wiseman) – Held up for clear running between the 700m and 600m. Momentarily inconvenienced for clear running between runners at the 100m.
HARD WORK REWARDS (D Gillett) – Slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
QUALIS (W Davis) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
SPEED WHEEL (D Morgan) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and became unbalanced when rounding the home turn.
SHOAL RIVER (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly.
ABREHA (J Philpot) – Slow into stride.

TOFFIATO (J Philpot) – Commenced awkwardly losing some ground.
COLHOUN (D Gillett) – Slow into stride and raced wide throughout. Cast its off front plate in running.
LIBERTY BLUE (S Wiseman) – Dipped on jumping.
DEBBONAIRE BOY (C Hunter) – Inclined to lay outwards under pressure from the 100m.
THE CHAPLAIN (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly.

Race 3: Vale Harry Lambley Handicap BM76 1200 metres
THAT’S JUSTIFIED (D Gillett) – Inclined to over-race in the middle stages, taking charge of its rider. Rider had to take hold passing the 600m when tightened in between runners.
DESERT LASS (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly. Taken outwards by another runner over the final 100m.
BAR GEM (J Philpot) – As the gates opened, stood flat-footed losing ground and raced wide throughout. Lay outwards under pressure over the final 100m.
CYCLONITE (S Wiseman) – Knuckled and crowded for room on jumping.
ELIXIR (S Tsaikos) – Commenced awkwardly.
SEDONA (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly.
General: On inquiry it was established that THAT’S JUSTIFIED (D Gillett), which was over-racing, had raced up in between CYCLONITE (S Wiseman) on its inside and MAN IN MOTION (D Morgan) to its outside, causing its rider to take hold losing ground. No rider was at fault in the incident and no further action was taken.

Race 4: JJ’S Waste Handicap 0-58 1100 metres
ACRES MIDNIGHT was declared a late scratching at 4:02pm after its rider became indisposed and no other rider was available.
As no bookmaker was on course, no deductions were applicable.
MACKINAW (D Morgan) – Knuckled on jumping and shifted inwards abruptly at the 200m when tested with the whip, causing its rider to take hold and straighten.
BEAN SHOPPIN’ (S Wiseman) – Commenced awkwardly and raced wide entering the home straight.
DRAWN TO WIN (P Denton) – Raced wide throughout.
General: Prior to weighing out for this event, apprentice D Gillett approached the Stewards complaining about a stomach pain. D Gillett was duly stood down from riding in this event and St John’s paramedics were called for assistance and examination. Whilst D Gillett was cleared of any serious physical disabilities, she was advised that prior to again riding trackwork or in races, she must present a medical certificate of fitness to the Stewards.

JUST HANG UP (J Philpot) – Commenced awkwardly and momentarily tightened between runners. Rider dropped her whip at the 600m.
WINTER HARBOUR (S Tsaikos) – Fractious in the barriers.
