Race 1: TAB 0-58 TROBIS Handicap – 1300m

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

SHENANIGAN CITY (P Denton) – On jumping shifted inwards abruptly almost dislodging its rider.

AFTERNOON TEA (V Arnott) – After a disappointing performance a post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had a slightly elevated heart rate and was coughing.

GREAT BOULDER (I Luximon) – Slow into stride.

WAR GAMES (J Philpot) – As the gates opened the gelding stood flat-footed and was slow away. Raced wide throughout.

MALIBU EDITION (S Wiseman) – Inclined to shift outwards under pressure from the 150m.

WRITE YOUR NAME (J Philpot) – Despite the urging of its rider the gelding failed to muster early speed.

ZOUMIST (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly and was slow away.

Race 3: Book Your Christmas Party Maiden Plate – 1200m

ARCHIE JAMES (I Luximon) – Jumped outwards bumping with another runner.

EXGAMES (R Faehr) – Slow into stride.

FLYING DEPUTY (J Philpot) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Held up for clear running from the 200m to 120m.

LAYLAH’S WISH (V Arnott) – Bumped at the start.

BRAVE FLING (J Todd) – On arriving on course trainer G Clarke reported to the club’s veterinarian that his runner BRAVE FLING may have sustained an injury to its near foreleg after a mishap in its yard .After a veterinary examination, the gelding was declared unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary advice at 2.19pm – no deductions were applicable as the scratching was prior to correct weight of race 2. Trainer G Clarke was advised that a veterinary clearance must be presented for the gelding prior to racing again.

I’MA HAPPY MAN (S Tsaikos) – Fractious in the barriers. Bumped with another runner on jumping.

AIR COMMAND (I Luximon) – Lay in under pressure from the 150m.

SABAKU (R Faehr) – Crowded for room on jumping. Raced wide throughout.

LIGHT AND DARK (V Arnott) –Shifted inwards on jumping and bumped with another runner. Cast near hind plate in running.

TO THE POINT (P Denton) – Bumped at the start.

POINTO’S PICK (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly.

UMFANA (S Wiseman) – Bumped at the start.

MYSTERY FLYER (R Faehr) – Bumped at the start.

ONE FOR ANNA (I Luximon) – The veterinarian reported that the mare returned having bled from the right nostril. Trainer C Nash was advised of his requirements under AR79.

OVERRULED (S Tsaikos) – Bumped at the start. The veterinarian reported that the gelding required treatment post-race for an ulcerated right eye.
