Race 3: Off The Track 0-64 Handicap – 1300m
ICE ICE BABY (P Denton) – Slow into stride. Rider advised his mount resented the kickback from leaving the 1000m and consequently lost momentum through the middle stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have abrasions to both hind bumpers and was coughing.
SIGNOR FANGIO (P Crich) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Returned having bled from both nostrils. As this was the first occasion, trainer D Leech was advised of the provisions of AR79.
ZOUMIST (D Morgan) – Tightened onto the running rail and checked at the 950m.
POINTO’S PICK (S Tsaikos) – Crowded at the start. Steadied outwards leaving the 950m.
NOKONDI (I Luximon) – Steadied and carried inwards near the 950m.
General – On inquiry jockey J Todd (SIAKAM) pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(a) of engaging in careless riding. The specifics being that near the 950m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear resulting in NOKONDI (I Luximon) being steadied and carried inwards onto ZOUMIST (D Morgan) which was tightened onto the running rail and checked. J Todd had his license to ride in races suspended for 1 DTC meeting and was also fined the sum of $500.

BLUEANT (S Wiseman) – Cast the near hind plate in running.
BRIMARVI ROOBOY (C Hunter) – Raced wide throughout.
ZOURISKY (J Todd) – Raced wide throughout. The veterinarian reported the mare returned with a tongue laceration.

Race 5: Silks Darwin TROBIS Plate - 1100m
Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
FLYING DEPUTY (P Crich) – Bumped at the start. Raced keenly approaching the first turn and had to be steadied from heels losing ground.
HENESTROSA (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. The veterinarian reported the gelding returned with a laceration to the right nostril.
TRULY BRAZEN (I Luximon) – Lay inwards inside the 50m with the rider having to stop riding and straighten his mount over the concluding stages.
DEBASEMENT (S Wiseman) – Bumped at the start.
GOLDEN RIDGE (V Arnott) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
BRAVE FLING (J Todd) – Rider reported that his mount lost momentum leaving the 700m when negotiating the first turn.
MADAME ROMANOV (S Tsaikos) – Steadied when racing keenly near the 650m.
