MIRACOLI declared a late scratching at 1:27pm by order of the Stewards after refusing to load. Trainer D Leech was advised that prior to that gelding again starting in a race, it must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
As no book maker was in attendance, no deductions were applicable.
LETHAL ENCOUNTER (J Todd) – Stood flat-footed losing ground.
TONY’S REWARD (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly and raced wide throughout.
TRUCKLOAD OF HOFFA (C Hunter) – Steadied for a number of strides between runners approaching the 400m.
CONSTANT CAUSE (P Crich) – Commenced awkwardly.

RIMROCK declared a late scratching at 2:38pm on veterinary advice after rearing over backwards in the barriers. Trainer R Bell was advised that prior to that gelding again starting in a race, a veterinary certificate of soundness satisfactory to the Stewards, must be produced.
DANNY WHIZBANG (L Maloney) – Slow into stride bumping with another runner. Lay outwards from the 100m under pressure.

LUNCH SESSION (P Denton) – Rolled inwards into the first turn.
BENCH PRESS (S Tsaikos) – Commenced to lay inwards from the 200m bumping with another runner on several occasions.
FANTASY EAGLE (I Luximon) – Began awkwardly bumping with another runner.
General: The rider of the second placegetter S Wiseman (ROUGHLY) entered a protest against the winner BENCH PRESS (S Tsaikos) alleging interference at about the 200m.
After considering the evidence and the Stewards patrol footage, Stewards dismissed the protest and ordered that all placings stand.
