CUT IT OUT declared a late scratching at 4:12pm after refusing to load.
DAKOTA LEE declared a late scratching at 4:14pm after refusing to load.
As there was no book maker on course, no deductions were applicable.
Trainers W Savage (CUT IT OUT) and T Gillett (DAKOTA LEE) were advised that prior to again racing, their runners must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
ROUGHLY (S Wiseman) – Commenced awkwardly getting its head up and raced wide entering the home straight.
MATHEMATICS (J Hampson) – Raced wide into the home straight.

FAIR GO (S Wiseman) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
MI MIJO (I Luximon) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner. Inclined to shift ground outwards for a number of strides before shifting ground inwards close to the finish.
MIRACOLI (J Todd) – Bounded as the gates opened.
ELEMENTAE (J Philpot) – Reared on jumping as the start was effected hitting its head at the top of the barriers. A post-race veterinary inspection found the gelding did not sustain any injuries to its head.

GREAT BUY (D Gillett) – Raced wide throughout.
FLYING START (J Philpot) – After a disappointing performance, a veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to be lame in the off side hind. Trainer G Connor was advised that a veterinary certificate of soundness must be produced prior to that gelding again starting in a race or trial.
