ENVENOMATE declared a late scratching at 1:19pm by order of the Stewards after its trainer D Leech presented the incorrect horse for this race.

As no book maker was on course, no deductions were applicable.

BRAT (D Gillett) – Slow into stride and raced wide throughout.

MAGNOLIA ROSE (P Denton) - Raced wide throughout.

SWEET AS SCANDI (I Luximon) – Dipped on jumping after commencing awkwardly.

General: on inquiry, trainer D Leech pleaded guilty to a charge under AR99(1)(b) in that he presented the incorrect horse which was engaged to run in this race. Mr Leech was fined the sum of $750.

Stewards were satisfied that there was no attempt to be deceitful or dishonest and further co-operated fully during the inquiry.

Race 2: COLEMANS PRINTING MAIDEN PLATE MDN SET WIEGHTS 1200m

DANNY WHIZZBANG (J Philpot) – Slow into stride and then commenced to over-race whilst laying inwards in the middle stages causing its rider to steady off heels.

EIGHT ON THE DOT (P Denton) – Underwent a veterinary examination on arriving at the barriers after blood was found in its mouth and was subsequently cleared to race.

MR NAFPLION (C Hunter) – Fractious in the barriers.

JUSTIFY THIS (D Gillett) – Commenced awkwardly and inclined to race green down the length of the straight.

SLINKY’S STAR () – Underwent a veterinary examination on arriving at the barriers after blood was found in its mouth and was subsequently cleared to race. Commenced awkwardly.
