THE KID (P Shiers) – Stewards permitted 1kg overweight as no other rider was available to make the allotted weight. Raced wide throughout.

Race 2: Lest We Forget BM54 Handicap – 1200m

ALL HARD WOOD (J Valenti) – Bounded at the start.

AFTERNOON TEA (E Lines) – Commenced awkwardly

Race 3: Thank You Defence Personnel 0-64 Handicap – 1200m

Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

STARS THE LIMIT (J Valenti) – Unsettled in the mounting enclosure and reared upon entering the course proper dislodging the rider. After completing a lap of the track riderless the gelding was declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards at 4.25pm.

The following deductions were applicable to all successful bets placed prior to 4.25pm.

1^st - 3c win & 5c place, 2^nd - 9c place, 3^rd - 7c place

ARCHIE JAMES (S Wiseman) – Following the unplaced performance a veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with an elevated heart rate.

TURF MAN (C Hunter) – Dwelt at the start.

General: Jockey J Valenti was examined by the Paramedics and cleared to continue riding.

Race 4: ANZAC Day BMNT Handicap – 1100m

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

CIELO D’ORO (E Lines) – Raced wide throughout.

1^ST BEL’S BANNER 2^ND EL MAGNIFICENCE 3^RD BLUEBERRY BOY

 

Race 5: Light Horseman 0-58 Handicap – 1100m

TUBTHUMPER (V Arnott) – Reluctant to proceed to the start and then fractious in the barriers and after getting the near fore leg cast, the filly underwent a veterinary examination and subsequently declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards at 5.38pm.

The following deductions were applicable to all successful bets placed prior to 5.38pm.

1^st - 0c win & 7c place, 2^nd - 1c place, 3^rd - 8c place

Trainer P Cole advised the filly must barrier trial satisfactorily prior to racing again.

ALL STARDOM (C Hunter) – Raced keenly in the middle stages.

POP MAGIC (J Todd) – Raced wide throughout.

General – Jockey V Arnott was examined by the Paramedics and cleared of any injury.
