General: Stewards inquired into an incident occurring about the 150m as to apprentice E Lines (EXCEEDINGLY MAGIC) having to take hold of her mount losing some ground along the fence.
Evidence was taken from E Lines in the presence of her master P Cole, and P Shiers (APLOMADO).
It was established that whilst not making ground, (EXCEEDINGLY MAGIC) (E Lines) was maintaining a position along the rails racing back on the inside of (APLOMADO) (P Shiers) which was slowly shifting inwards under pressure causing E Lines to eventually take hold and shift outwards off (APLOMADO) heels.
P Shiers was issued a severe reprimand under AR131(a) for careless riding for allowing his mount to shift ground inwards uncorrected causing the interference.
When considering penalty, Stewards took into consideration the degree of interference caused to (EXCEEDINGLY MAGIC) and P Shiers’ excellent record in regards to careless riding.
