Race 3: TRNT Off The Track 0-58 Handicap – 1300m
WILSONS PROM (J Todd) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount was unusually agitated prior to the start and fractious in the barriers. He added that after being crowded at the start the gelding was reluctant to race on the bit despite his urgings. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have swelling to the angle of the jaw and a veterinary clearance will be required prior to the gelding racing again.
DEL VIENTO (S Tsaikos) – The gelding was eased down following the event. A veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near fore leg and a veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing again.
LASTAR (A Nicholls) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages and wide from the 600m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore leg and a veterinary clearance will be required prior to race again.
IRASCRIBLE MISS (C Hunter) – Steadied near the 650m when racing keenly and negotiating the turn.

AFTERNOON TEA (E Lines) – When questioned regarding her level of vigour over the concluding stages, apprentice advised that her left hand became entangled in the mane and she had difficulty in riding the mare out over the final 50m.
LAMOREE (M Pegus) – Raced wide from the 600m.
WYNTER LADY (D Gillett) – When questioned apprentice advised that her mount contacted the running rail of its own volition near the 700m and over reacted when unbalanced, losing momentum and ground.

NOUVEAY MARCHE (A Nicholls) – Raced wide from the 600m. Impeded from heels near the 250m.
FIERCE LEGEND (A Sweeney) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
BLUFFED (S Wiseman) – Bumped at the start.
DARTBOARD (C Hunter) – Slow into stride. Rider was cautioned for allowing her mount to shift out to improve near the 250m, hampering another runner. Lay inwards under pressure inside the final 200m.
KING’S STAR (S Tsaikos) – Raced ungenerously when over racing in the early and middle stages.
GO FORMAL (I Luximon) – Tightened for room and restrained leaving the 200m.
General – On inquiry jockey A Sweeney (FIERCE LEGEND) pleaded guilty to a charge of engaging in careless riding under the provisions of 131(a) with the specifics being that whilst riding his mount along he did permit the gelding to shift inwards leaving the 200m when insufficiently clear resulting in GO FORMAL (I Luximon) being tightened for room and restrained. Jockey A Sweeney had his licence to ride in races suspended for 1 NT meeting to expire after 15 July, 2023.
