Race 1: Follow Me On Dabble Handicap 0-62 – 1600m
Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
REBEL COUNTY (S Tsaikos) – Following the unplaced performance a veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
EQUAL BALANCE (I Luximon) – Steadied off heels racing into the first turn.
IKNOWHATYOUREDOING (M Pegus) – Slow into stride. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount was off the bit in running and failed to finish the race off in the home straight as anticipated. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
GRINZINGER BISHOP (N Callow) – Fractious in the barriers and bumped with another runner shortly after jumping.
NEW ENTERPRISE (E Lines) – Bumped with another runner shortly after jumping.
TALES OF CONFLICT (D Gillett) – Raced wide throughout.
DARTBOARD (J Todd) – Stood flat-footed at the start and lost ground. Momentarily steadied off heels passing the 400m when improving ground.
HONG KONG FIGHTER (A Sweeney) – Commenced awkwardly.
General – During the Stewards routine identity checks it was established that trainer K Petrick’s staff had transported BOOM BOOM SWEET (not engaged to race) to the racecourse in the place of REAL DIVINE. It was confirmed that this was an error by her staff and as the Stewards were satisfied that there was sufficient time for REAL DIVINE to be presented on course, the mare underwent a veterinary examination upon arrival and was cleared to compete. A post race sample was collected.
Trainer K Petrick was subsequently fined $500 for a breach of AR99(1)(a).
1ST I’M A DREAMER 2ND DARTBOARD 3RD REAL DIVINE
Race 2: Have A Dabble Handicap 0-62 – 1200m
DUMMY SPIT (N Callow) – Rider advised that when his mount commenced awkwardly and shifted out abruptly, his saddle shifted and when he rode the gelding along in the early stages the saddle continued to shift and placed him in a position that he could not ride his mount competitively through running. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities and in the circumstances no further action was taken.
HALLOWED GROUND (D Gillett) – Commenced awkwardly getting its head up. Steadied between runners at the 1100m and restrained approaching the 700m when racing in restricted room.
ASTERN MAGIC (S Logan) – Slow into stride.
NEW ROMAN (A Nicholls) – Slow into stride and raced wide throughout.

Race 3: Dabble Copy Bet Handicap 0-66 – 1100m
SHECANMIXIT (J Hampson) – Cast the near hind plate when leaving the saddling enclosure. Due to the mare’s cantankerous behaviour behind the barriers, the farrier could not refit the plate nor remove the off hind plate to allow the mare to race without hind plates. Subsequently the mare was declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards at 3.31pm.
All bets placed on the gelding were ordered to be refunded and all successful bets placed prior to 3.31pm were subject to the following deductions:
1st 31c win, 25c place 2nd 26c place
THROW AT DA STUMPS (A Nicholls) – Fractious prior to the start and commenced awkwardly losing ground.
MR HAVE A CHAT (M Pegus) – Knuckled on jumping. Lay inwards under pressure from the 150m.
REAL VALENTIA (I Luximon) – Steadied passing the 650m. Inclined to lay outwards rounding the home turn.
KIKUYU (P Denton) – Stood flat-footed as the gates opened losing ground.

Race 4: The Dabble Effect Handicap C2 – 1100m
IRASCIBLE MISS (J Todd) – At the request of the rider, the mare underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers and when found to be lame in the off fore leg was declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards at 4.03pm. Trainer C Pollard was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the mare prior to racing again.
All bets placed on the gelding were ordered to be refunded and all successful bets placed prior to 4.03pm were subject to the following deductions:
1st 0c win, 3c place 2nd 0c place 3rd 4c place
POLARISING (S Logan) – Bumped at the start. Approaching the 700m checked from the heels of a runner yielding ground, and veered outwards. Bumped at the 200m.
FIELD OF PRAISE (A Nicholls) – Commenced awkwardly. Carried outwards by another runner passing the 700m and had to be steadied from heels.
PRECONI (D Gillett) – Raced wide throughout. Bumped with another runner on multiple occasions passing the 700m.
FRACTION LATE (J Hampson) – Bumped with another runner on multiple occasions passing the 700m.
ADELAIDE FEVER (A Sweeney) – Bumped at the start.
VELVET REVOLUTION (S Tsaikos) – Rider reported his saddle shifted rounding the home turn and he was unable to test his mount in the straight. Bumped with another runner at the 200m.
GOTTA BEAT (D Gillett) – Yielded ground from the 700m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer P Johnston will be contacted to discuss the mares’ performance.

Race 5: Banter On Dabble TROBIS Maiden SW – 1300m
Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
FULL DAMAGE (S Tsaikos) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
HAZELWOOD (A Sweeney) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Improved into restricted room at the winning post and restrained.
MEANT FOR MARS (E Lines) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Rider reported her mount mistrode passing the 700m.
PROHIBITED (J Hampson) – Commenced awkwardly, bumping with another runner.
SHE’LL BE RIGHT (P Denton) – Cast the near plate in running.
1ST ARIARNE 2ND GO BARNEY GO 3RD FULL DAMAGE
Race 6: Dabble Cup 0-76 – 1300m
Correct weight was delayed to allow jockey S Tsaikos to view the patrol films and he decided not to lodge an objection.
SHAKATTAK (J Todd) – Bumped at the start.
MATHEMATICS (P Denton) – Slow into stride.
RAFFALLI (J Hampson) – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
SWING WITH JUNIOR (S Logan) – Slow into stride.
STARLITE REBEL (I Luximon) – Bumped at the start.
YAKI ISHI (S Tsaikos) – Crowded for room and steadied near the 600m.
General – On inquiry it was established that passing the 600m SHAKATTAK (J Todd) shifted in slightly resulting in YAKI ISHI (S Tsaikos) being crowded for room and steadied. Jockey J Todd was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

General:
Post-race swab samples taken from all winners, REAL DIVINE (R2) and BUDGERIGAR (R6).
Pre-race samples were taken from COMMAND KING, NEW ENTERPRISE, DARTBOARD, DIAMONDS ’N’ STONES, BEAU FACTOR, THROW AT DA STUMPS, KIKUYU, FIELD OF PRAISE, FRACTION LATE, VELVET REVOLUTION, GO BARNEY GO, MONTCELOT and all runners engaged in race 6.
All riders were breath tested for the presence of alcohol prior to riding.
