CHUCKAMICKY declared a late scratching at 1:40pm on veterinary advice after lunging forward in the barriers and hitting its head. Examination revealed superficial wounds to chin and cheeks requiring no further treatment to the mare.
BEAU FACTOR (D Gillett) – Commenced awkwardly before racing wide throughout and then inclined to lay outwards rounding the home turn.
BRAT (S Tsaikos) – Lay outwards under pressure concluding stages of the race.
GREAT GUST (H Le Blanc) – Commenced awkwardly.
BETTER NOT FUSS (R Vigar) – Slow into stride.
MAGIC DEFENSE (P Denton) – Knuckled shortly after jumping.

Stewards interviewed trainers G Connor and T Gillett in relation to the riding instructions they intended to issue there riders bearing in mind they had multiple runners in this event.
SUPREME ATTRACTION (D Gillett) – Slow into stride and raced wide into the home straight and began to lay inwards under pressure from the 200m.
HURN COURT (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly and raced wide throughout.
