Prior to correct weight being given, the rider of the second placegetter P Denton (LITTLE DITTY) requested to view the Stewards’ patrol footage of the first turn (600m) with a view to protesting, as he was of the belief that he sustained interference which had impacted on his finishing position.

After viewing the footage, P Denton (LITTLE DITTY) lodged a protest against the winner (LOCHLORIAN) ridden by R Vigar alleging interference approaching the 600m.

Evidence was taken from R Vigar, trainer T Halter (LOCHLORIAN), trainer T Gillett (LITTLE DITTY) and further evidence was taken from P Denton.

After considering all the evidence, the ground lost in the interference and the beaten margin, Stewards upheld the protest and amended the placings accordingly.
