General: Stewards inquired into an incident into the first turn when several riders were tightened for room resulting in SILENTDEEL (S Logan) clipping the heels of another runner and dipping. Evidence was taken from H Le Blanc (MI MIJO), K Sardelic (BEEP TEST), D Hirini (MURRAJONG ROAD), and S Logan. Stewards were of the view that the field of runners were already racing tightly heading into the first turn and once into the turn, the room for MURRAJONG ROAD and SILENTDEEL became tighter resulting in SILENTDEEL having to steady clipping the heels of another runner. Whilst acknowledging the interference to SILENTDEEL, Stewards were of the opinion that no one rider had ridden in a careless manner and took no further action.
