Race 1: TAB ROANT Gold Cup 28 June Handicap BM76 – 1300m
Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
SUPREME ATTRACTION (D Gillett) – Raced wide throughout.
CACOFONIX (A Sweeney) – Following the unplaced performance the veterinarian reported the gelding returned with an elevated heart rate.
STORMFRONT (J Hampson) – Raced keenly in the back straight. Shifted around heels for a clear run passing the 200m.

BRUNO BRUNO (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly. Cast the near-fore plate in running.

Race 3: Ladbrokes SRM in Multis Handicap C2 – 1200m
ALL INCLUSIVE (A Nicholls) – Trainer G Clarke advised a change of instruction for the gelding to be ridden off the pace with cover if possible and his information was disseminated. Ridden accordingly.
PHYSICAL GRAFFITI (J Booth) – Dwelt at the start and then bounded losing further ground. Raced ungenerously in the early stages.
LA PETITE ANGELE (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout and lay outwards from the 600m and yielded ground in the straight. Following a post-race veterinary examination revealing an abnormally high heart rate, trainer A Forster was advised that the mare must barrier trial satisfactorily prior to racing again and have an ECG performed post trial with a veterinary clearance also required.
MIAMI BABY (J Lyon) – Knuckled at the start. Raced wide throughout.

Race 4: bet365 Handicap 0-58 – 1100m
LITTLE DITTY (D Gillett) – Cast the near-fore plate in running and sustained an injury to the frog. Trainer T Gillett was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.
DUMMY SPIT (A Sweeney) – Commenced awkwardly, veered outwards and bumped. Cast the off-fore plate in running.
ARIARNE (A Herrmann) – Resented the kickback having to be steadied passing the 900m and the 700m.
RISING WATER (P Shiers) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
TILUSSION (J Lyon) – Lay inwards under pressure passing the 150m.
PEARL IN HAY (S Logan) – Bumped at the start.
VALKUR (A Nicholls) – Raced wide throughout.
BETTER SUN (J Todd) – Raced wide throughout.
YOUR SHOUT GINGIE (S Tsaikos) – Veered inwards and bumped at the start.
JENADAR (W Davis) – Slipped and fell on its side in the mounting yard and after undergoing a veterinary examination was cleared to compete. Reared at the start, losing ground.

Race 5: Sky Racing Handicap – 1000m
Jockey S Tsaikos rider of the second placed BRAT lodged a protest against the winner FLYING ANNIE ridden by jockey A Sweeney alleging interference from the 200m. Stewards considered the submissions of the relevant parties and after viewing the patrol films it was established that FLYING ANNIE initially shifted inwards under pressure placing BRAT in restricted room passing the 200m and after being corrected again shifted in near the 100m resulting in BRAT having to check to avoid heels. After considering the margin between both runners at the finish and the manner both horses finished the race, Stewards dismissed the protest and declared correct weight.

EARLY CROW (K Sardelic) – Bumped at the start.
FLYING ANNIE (A Sweeney) – Shifted inwards when tested with the whip near the 200m and again when ridden along passing the 100m.
CRAZY BRAVE (P Shiers) – Bumped at the start.
BRAT (S Tsaikos) – Raced in restricted room near the 200m and checked to avoid heels passing the 100m.
General – On inquiry jockey A Sweeney (FLYING ANNIE) pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(a) of engaging in careless riding with the specifics being that passing the 100m he permitted his mount to shift inwards when insufficiently clear resulting in BRAT being checked to avoid heels. A Sweeney had his license to ride in races suspended for 2 NT race meetings to expire after 30 June 2025.

NUNNIONG (J Todd) – Resented the kickback in the early stages.

Post-race swab samples taken from all winners.
Pre-race samples were taken from: CACOFONIX, CAP TEN, RAMPAZETTO, GROUNDRUSH, MIAMI BABY & DUMMY SPIT.
All riders were breath tested for the presence of alcohol.
Reprimands:
Race 3 – Jockey J Todd was reprimanded for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).
Races 3, 4 & 7 – Apprentice Jockey J Hampson was reprimanded for whip breaches, AR132(7)(a)(ii).
Suspensions:
Race 2 – Jockey R Vigar was suspended for 1 NT meeting for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).
Race 5 – Jockey A Sweeney was suspended for 2 NT meetings for careless riding, AR131(a).
