Race 1: Centreline Saddlery & Country Outfitters Handicap BMNT - 1200m

KICKATORP (S Logan) – Slow into stride. Lay out under pressure from the 200m.

EXPERT WITNESS (R Vigar) – Bumped at the start.

BOLD TROPIC (L Maloney) – Bounded and bumped at the start. Lay inwards under pressure in the straight.

Race 2: Ladbrokes Red Centre Winter Series (Heat 5) BM54 – 1000m

BODMIN BOY (S Logan) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

DARCI DIVA (P Denton) – Raced wide throughout.

ONLY THE BEST (S Tsaikos) – Shifted out under pressure from the 200m.

SNEAKY FREDDY (D Hirini) – Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards. Raced wide throughout.

JAMAICAN GOLD (R Vigar) – Bumped at the start.

MUSELET (J Booth) – Failed to muster early speed.

Race 3: Rimfire Energy Handicap BM54 - 1000m

QUANAPIRRI BAY (D Hirini) – Commenced awkwardly. Over raced into the first turn getting its head up. Shifted outwards under pressure from the 150m.

TANGO STEPZ (J Booth) – Held up from the 350m to the 300m and shifted off heels near the 150m to obtain clear running.

BOSS SHELBY (S Tsaikos) – Raced wide throughout.

THE BIG FREEZE (L Maloney) – Held up for clear running from 350m to 300m.

Race 4: “Truckies Day” 29 August Handicap 0-58 – 1400m

Apprentice Jockey L Maloney rider of the second placed RUN AND TELL lodged a protest against the winner SUPER SHARP ridden by jockey R Vigar alleging interference in the back straight. It was established that near the 900m SUPER SHARP shifted in and RUN AND TELL was momentarily steadied when racing in restricted room. Stewards were satisfied that the interference was only minor and had no bearing on the result of the race and the protest was therefore dismissed and correct weight semaphored.

SUPER SHARP (R Vigar) – Bumped at the start.

BECQUEREL (S Tsaikos) – Fractious in the barriers and bumped at the start.

RUN AND TELL (L Maloney) – Bumped at the start. Momentarily steadied when racing in restricted room near the 900m.

NASHA (P Denton) – Fractious in the barriers and bumped at the start.

BEEP TEST (J Booth) – Commenced awkwardly.

Race 5: Easy Carwash Handicap 0-58 - 1400m

MYOCEAN WARRIOR and STARTER were declared late withdrawals at 11.33am when trainer P Gardner advised that he was unable to present the Thoroughbred Identification Cards as previously directed by the Stewards.

DR VENKMAN (J Booth) – Bumped at the start. Rider reported her concern with the gelding’s action for a number of strides rounding the home turn and at the top of the straight before striding freely again. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

TITANIUM PRINCE (S Tsaikos) – Slow into stride and bumped at the start.

1ST PROPHESIER 2ND SHEER REWARD 3RD VITESSE BREEZE

 

Race 6: Ladbrokes Top 2/3/4 Handicap 0-70 - 1600m

BETTER NOT FUSS (L Maloney) – Commenced awkwardly.

MURRAJONG ROAD (P Denton) – Raced wide in the middle stages.
