HELLIVIT (P Shiers) – Bumped at the start.

JUST FOR MARCUS (J Booth) – Raced wide throughout. Lay out under pressure in the straight. Returned having bled from both nostrils. As this was the first occasion, trainer T Halter was advised of the embargo now placed on the mare in accordance with AR79.

WHITTEN (W Davis) – Slow into stride.

HALLOWED GROUND (S Tsaikos) – Bumped at the start.

TYQUENDO (J Todd) – Bounded at the start.

MUNSTER (J Todd) – Jumped awkwardly at the start, crowded shortly after the start.

THROW AT DA STUMPS (P Denton) – Raced wide throughout. Rider reported his mount lay outwards the duration of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

ORION THE HUNTER (P Shiers) – Lay outwards rounding the home turn.

CHIEF WHITE SOCK (D Hirini) – Lay outwards under pressure in the straight.

RUSTIC BOOM (J Booth) – Lay outwards under pressure in the concluding stages.

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

CASSETTE (J Booth) – Dwelt at the start. Raced wide from the 500m.

MLINZI (P Shiers) – Bumped at the start.

SMELLICIOUS (D Hirini) – Bumped at the start and slow to muster early speed. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer N Dyer was advised that a warning has been placed on the mare for being uncompetitive.
