BEATIFICATION (H Le Blanc) – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off-foreleg. Trainer T Logan will be required to present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

GRAYSVILLE (W Davis) – Slow into stride.

ROC DE RUSSIAN (W D’Avila) – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 2: Ladbrokes Summer Sprint Series (Heat 3) Handicap BMNT – 1300m

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

BON’S PRIDE (V Arnott) – Slow into stride.

AWASH (A Sweeney) – Bumped heavily and was unbalanced shortly after the start.

ATLANTIC OCEAN (L Maloney) – Lay inwards when tested with the whip near the 200m. Steadied outwards around heels approaching the 100m. Cast near-hind plate in running.

VIERI (C Martinan) – Bumped and crowded shortly after the start.

CROWN WATERS (H Le Blanc) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

TIME TO BACA (D Barton) – Raced wide throughout.

TUBTHUMPER (W D’Avila) – Yielded ground from the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near-hind leg. Trainer P Cole will be required to present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

RHESUS (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped heavily at the start.

Race 3: Renew Your DTC Membership Handicap BM54 – 1200m

ANKLE ROLEX (D Barton) – Commenced awkwardly.

SABOR (V Arnott) – Commenced awkwardly getting its head up and losing ground. Failed to muster any early speed. Wide from the 600m.

Race 4: bet365 Handicap BM54 – 1200m

MIAMI BABY (C Martinan) – Raced wide from the 600m.

FIELD OF PRAISE (W D’Avila) – Knuckled at the start. Cast off-hind plate in running.

PREDICTING (D Hirini) – Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards.

VALKUR (W Davis) – Compounded in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer A Forster was notified that the mare must undergo a veterinary exam and ECG prior to racing, trialling or a jump out. A cardiac auscultation performed by that veterinarian within 15 minutes of the horse completing a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000m.

NEW ENTERPRISE (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide on straightening.

1ST ROSSANADO 2ND KING AKEED 3RD FIELD OF PRAISE

 

Race 5: Ladbrokes Lightning Wet Season Series Final 0-70 – 1200m

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

PATRIOTIC KING (H Le Blanc) – A pre-race veterinary examination was conducted on the gelding as it had a small abrasion on its off-hind leg, the gelding was passed fit to race. Raced wide throughout.

FUNNYIFITWON (D Hirini) – The rider had some difficulty in controlling the gelding enroute to the barriers and after an extended preliminary the gelding was examined by the veterinarian and was cleared to compete.

FLY (J Todd) – When questioned regarding checking his mount near the 650m the rider advised that when positioned four wide and between runners approaching the first turn he elected to ease back out of the leading division to obtain cover. He explained that when he eased, his mount overreacted and he was obliged to check the gelding when close to heels.

I LOVERAIN (A Sweeney) – Cast near-fore plate.

1ST FLY 2ND BRUNO BRUNO 3RD BRYCE

 

Race 6: Sunday Carvery @ Silks Special Conditions Plate SW 3YO+ – 1100m

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

PATYEP (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly.

ANTHONY (C Martinan) – Commenced awkwardly. The rider reported her mount resented the kick back after being crossed passing the 800m.

BRASH LASS (W D’Avila) – Slow into stride. Attempted to buck shortly after the start until near the 1000m. Trainer P Cole was advised the filly must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the stewards prior to racing again.

GOD’S EYE (D Barton) – Shifted inwards under pressure inside the 50m.

SASSY ABBEY (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly then bumped and crowded at the start. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

Race 7: Balton Rex Handicap 0-64 – 1000m

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

TEARS ARE FLOWING (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.

OAKLAND RAIDER (A Sweeney) – Raced wide in running.

TOUGH IMPACT (C Martinan) – Raced wide from the 700m. The rider reported her mount lay out through running and then lay inward in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near-hind leg. Trainer C Pollard will be required to present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.
