Race 1: Shamrock Sprint 0-70 – 1300m

ATLANTIC OCEAN (D Barton) – Bumped on jumping and again shortly after the start. Apprentice reminded of her obligation to fully test her mounts out to the end of the race.

BRUNO BRUNO (R Vigar) – Bumped on jumping and again shortly after the start.

GALAXY GENERAL (J Todd) – Following the unplaced performance a veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near-hind leg. Trainer G Clarke will be required to present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

KESSLER (H Le Blanc) – Raced wide throughout. Cast the near-fore plate in running.

RHESUS (W Davis) – Slow to muster early speed.

HELL FIRE MISS (J Lyon) – Raced wide on straightening. Cast the near-fore plate in running.

Race 2: Luck Of The Irish Handicap BMNT – 1300m

STRUCK GOLD – Withdrawn by the Stewards prior to 8 am when identified as being lame in the near-fore leg. Trainer E Clarke will be required to present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

BON’S PRIDE (V Arnott) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide from the 600m. Bumped with another runner near the 250m.

PRINCE RUBAN (A Sweeney) – Restrained back from the 1100m until able to obtain cover behind the leader.

STRAYA PRIDE (W Davis) – Bumped with another runner near the 250m.

Race 3: Emerald Isle Handicap 0-58 – 1300m

DIVINE BENE (B Cray) – After being ridden vigorously from an outside barrier to maintain a forward position outside the leader the gelding was under pressure prior to straightening and yielded ground from thereon. A veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have an elevated heart rate.

RISING FIRE (J Lyon) – Raced wide on straightening.

ANKLE ROLEX (H Le Blanc) – Raced wide from the 600m.

REBELLIOUS HOPE (D Hirini) – Under pressure from the 600m and yielded ground in the straight. A veterinary examination revealed the mare to have an elevated heart rate.

WORLD AFFAIRS (A Sweeney) – Slow into stride. Raced close to heels rounding the home turn.

Race 4: Dublin Dash 0-58 – 1100m

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

VIACONI (J Lyon) – Raced wide throughout.

JUELENE (H Le Blanc) – Shifted inwards crowding another runner near the 200m.

BRASH LASS (W Davis) – Bumped inwards when under pressure near the 200m.

MLINZI (B Cray) – Slow into stride. Crowded inwards onto another runner and checked near the 200m.

RISING WATER (A Sweeney) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced ungenerously in the middle stages.

General – On inquiry jockey H Le Blanc (JUELENE) pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(a) of engaging in careless riding. The specifics being that leaving the 200m she permitted her mount to shift inwards when insufficiently clear resulting in MLINZI (B Cray) being crowded and checked after making contact with BRASH LASS (W Davis). Jockey H Le Blanc had her license to ride in races suspended until after 21st March 2026 (1 NT meeting).

Race 5: Four Leaf Clover TROBIS Maiden Plate SW – 1000m

SOUTHAMPTON FLARE (J Lyon) – Slow into stride.

SASSY ABBEY (W Davis) – Cast the near-hind plate in running.

Race 6: St Patrick’s Day Cup 0-76 – 1600m

STORMFRONT (J Todd) – Cast the near-fore plate in running.

AWASH (D Hirini) – Carried inwards and bumped another runner near the 1400m and then carried outwards abruptly shortly after.

ROSSANADO (A Sweeney) – Bumped on the hindquarter near the 1400m and became unbalanced, veering out abruptly. Raced keenly passing the 1000m. Tightened for room and checked approaching the 600m.

HOTIM ENGLISH (D Barton) – Slow into stride.

BRYCE (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly.

I’M A DREAMER (R Vigar) – Carried outwards abruptly passing the 1400m.

NEW ENTERPRISE (H Le Blanc) – Commenced awkwardly. Carried outwards abruptly passing the 1400m.

General – When weighing out for this race jockey R Vigar declared 1kg overweight but it was identified by the Stewards that he had weighed without a safety vest. When directed to re weigh with the safety vest, he remained within the parameters of 1kg overweight. On inquiry the Stewards accepted his explanation that it was a negligent act as opposed to a case of him deliberately failing to initially weigh out without the safety vest to obtain a weight advantage. He was subsequently fined $500 for a breach of AR188(c).

On inquiry jockey J Lyon (ROCK REVOLUTION) was found guilty of a charge under AR131(a) for engaging in careless riding. The specifics being that near the 1400m he permitted his mount to shift inwards when not sufficiently clear resulting in AWASH (D Hirini) being carried inwards and contacting the hindquarters of ROSSANADO (A Sweeney). That mare became unbalanced as a result and veered outwards abruptly causing AWASH, I’M A DREAMER (R Vigar) and NEW ENTERPRISE (H Le Blanc) to all be carried outwards. Jockey J Lyon had his license to ride in races suspended until after 18th March 2026 (1 NSW meeting) and in addition he was fined the sum of $1000.

On inquiry jockey D Hirini (AWASH) pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(a) for engaging in careless riding. The specifics being that near the 600m she permitted her mount to shift inwards when insufficiently clear resulting in ROSSANADO being tightened for room and checked. Jockey D Hirini had her license to ride in races suspended to commence midnight 15th March until after 21st March 2026 (1 NT meeting).
