THE GIRL’S BOY (L Maloney) – Raced wide entering the home straight.
VERBOSITY (I Luximon) – Raced wide entering the home straight. Taken outwards by another runner approaching the 100m becoming restricted for room between runners over the final stages.
MATHEMATICS (A Sweeney) – Slow into stride losing some ground.
SCISSOR ME TIMBERS (D Hirini) – Commenced to shift out under pressure from the 200m.
ENVENOMATE (J Todd) – Began awkwardly.

Race 2: Hoskings Jewellers Handicap 0-62 – 1100m
Trainer K Healy was interviewed by Stewards as to the riding instructions he intended to issue his riders as he had multiple runners in this event.
HELLIVIT was declared a late scratching at 1:31pm on veterinary advice after sustaining a superficial wound to its off-side hip after knocking it on the barriers.
IN NO DOUBT (J Todd) – Began awkwardly shifting outwards and then taken inwards by another runner about the 900m.
MODS (L Maloney) – Shifted outwards slightly to avoid heels approaching the 600m.
BRAT (S Tsaikos) – Began awkwardly knuckling slightly and raced wide entering the home straight.
CAP TEN (J Booth) – Knuckled on jumping and taken outwards by another runner approaching the 600m having to check after clipping heels and losing some ground.
NOBLE MAGNATE (R Vigar) – Raced wide throughout.
HELL OF A GENT (H Le Blanc) – Shifted inwards slightly approaching the 600m.
General: Stewards inquired into an incident approaching the 600m where CAP TEN (J Booth) clipped the heels of a runner losing some ground. It was established that MODS (L Maloney) which was racing one off the fence shifted outwards slightly approaching the 600m to avoid heels whilst HELL OF A GENT (H Le Blanc) racing to CAP TEN’s outside rolled inwards slightly. Whilst Stewards acknowledge that CAP TEN did clip heels and lose some ground, they found no one rider had ridden in a careless manner and took no further action.

Race 3: Magic Millions Tried Horse Sale Handicap BM76 - 1100m
O’TYCOON (P Denton) – Raced wide early and middle stages before obtaining the lead passing the 650m.
THROW AT DA STUMPS (J Doyle) – Began awkwardly and dipped slightly. Raced wide from the 500m.
TELLEZ (I Luximon) – Lay out rounding the home turn.
TIPSY TORONADO (D Barton) – Failed to muster early speed losing some ground.

BOLDINHO (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and raced wide entering the home straight.
DAKOTA LEE (D Gillett) – Fractious in the barriers.
COTEHELE (D Tourneur) – Began awkwardly shifting inwards and bumping with another runner.
WOLFBURN (A Sweeney) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and raced wide into the straight.
ZOURATA (S Tsaikos) – Fractious in the barriers and bumped with a runner on jumping.

LUSKIN HERO (D Hirini) – Began awkwardly jumping inwards bumping with another runner and raced wide throughout.

Trainer K Healy was interviewed by Stewards as to the riding instructions he intended to issue his riders as he had multiple runners in this event.
GRINZINGER BISHOP (R Vigar) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
MAGIC DEFENSE (I Luximon) – Knuckled on jumping.
IKNOWHATYOUREDOING (J Booth) – Slow into stride losing ground and raced uncompetitive throughout. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. Trainer K Lamprecht was advised that prior to the gelding again starting in a race, it must barrier trial in a competitive manner.
MAXXI BON (D Gillett) – Inclined to lay in under pressure from the top of the straight.
CAPITOL HILL (D Tourneur) – Steadied off heels shortly after jumping.
FIGO THE GREAT (J Doyle) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

TAIPAN TOMMY (A Sweeney) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
RISING FIRE (D Barton) – Began awkwardly and raced wide throughout.
HELLO MARY (I Luximon) – Fractious in the barriers and began awkwardly getting its head up for a number of strides.
ROSEBUD LASS (J Philpot) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
FLAVIUS (J Todd) – Began awkwardly and over-raced in the early stages getting its head up.
SHEER REWARD (D Hirini) – Steadied off heels passing the 400m.

Trainer K Petrick was interviewed by Stewards as to the riding instructions she intended to issue her riders as she had multiple runners in this event.
BETTER NOT FUSS was declared a late scratching at 3:37pm on veterinary advice after showing signs of colic. Trainer L Whittle was advised that a veterinary clearance for the gelding is required prior to it again starting in a race.
GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS was declared a late scratching at 4:41pm after taking charge of its rider on route to the barriers and completing a lap of the track at a fast pace.
ICHIBAN (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
VANGUARD LEGEND (R Vigar) – Began awkwardly bumping with another runner.
COURS VITE (I Luximon) – Slow into stride bumping with another runner.

Race 8: Lasseters Centre of Entertainment NT Guineas 3-Y-O SW - 1600m
All runners in this event were required to be on course 2 hours prior to the start.
ASHEN GLOW (P Denton) – Began awkwardly.
HIGHSTRUNG (J Philpot) – Commenced to over-race shortly after jumping with the rider having to steady outwards to avoid heels and in doing so bumped with another runner on several occasions passing the 1400m.
LAWS WARS (J Booth) – Bumped with another runner on several occasions passing the 1400m.
PLEASING SMILE (R Vigar) – Began awkwardly and raced ungenerously early getting its head up. Raced wide entering the home straight.

Post-race samples were taken from all winners and GALLAHOP (R8).
Pre-race samples were taken from: HE’S MAVERICK, BIG SHAQ, FUNNYIFITWON, COTEHELE, FABERGE TZAR, SAN LUCIDO, ICHIBAN and all runners engaged in race 8.

Race 1 - Jockey D Hirini was reprimanded for careless riding, AR131(a).
Race 4 - Jockey R Vigar was reprimanded for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).
Race 5 - Jockey D Tourneur was reprimanded for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).
Race 7 - Jockey R Vigar was reprimanded for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).

Race 3 - Jockey I Luximon was fined $200 for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).
Race 8 - Apprentice Jockey D Barton was fined $200 for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).
Apprentice Jockey L Maloney was fined $1500 for disobeying a directive of a Steward by taking alcohol into the jockeys room shortly after the last race when he was told not to, AR232(b).
