Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
PRINCE RUBAN (A Sweeney) – Dwelt at the start and then commenced awkwardly unbalancing the rider.
HELL AND BACK (V Arnott) – Commenced awkwardly unbalancing the rider.

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
LADY FIREBALL (D Gillett) – Declared a late scratching at 3.00pm by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice after an examination at the request of the rider identified the filly was lame in the off-fore. Trainer C Pollard was advised he must present a veterinary clearance for the filly prior to racing again.
All bets placed on the filly were ordered to be refunded and the following deductions were applicable to successful bets placed prior to 3.00pm:

SELF SERVE (H Le Blanc) – Bumped at the start. Returned having bled from the right nostril. Trainer T Logan was advised of the provisions of AR79(8).
TOUGH IMPACT (D Barton) – Commenced to hang outwards rounding the first turn and raced wide from then on. The gelding returned lame in the off-fore knee. Trainer C Pollard will be required to present a veterinary clearance, and the gelding must trial prior to racing again.
VIACONI (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
JUELENE (D Gillett) – Bumped at the start.
SASSY ABBEY (W Davis) – Bumped at the start.
LITTLE DITTY (J Booth) – Rider reported her mount lay out throughout. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
