HELLO MARY (L Maloney) – Slow into stride. On returning to scale apprentice L Maloney weighed in 1kg above his allotted weight. On inquiry it was revealed that he had added a gel pad weighing 1kg to his gear after weighing out and failed to reweigh prior to the race. Stewards acting under the provision of AR211(1) issued a penalty of a $400 fine.

YAKI ISHI (D Gillett) – Cast off-hind plate in running.

LUNA FIELD (J Hampson) – Cast off-hind plate in running.

OUR SQUAMOSA (I Luximon) – Rider reported his saddle slipped backwards during the event.

RED EXTREME (V Arnott) – Lay in under pressure and mistrode approaching the 100m causing the rider to become unbalanced.

GOOD ONYA DARL (L Maloney) – As the start was affected the mare got its head down and was slow into stride unbalancing the rider and losing considerable ground.

BOLLON (J Todd) – Rider reported on scale his mount over raced between the 1200m to the 100m and failed to respond when placed under pressure. Due to the gelding’s disappointing run, a post-race veterinary examination was conducted, and it was revealed the gelding had returned with an elevated heart rate.
