KING BLING (P Denton) – Due to the gelding’s disappointing performance a post-race veterinary examination was conducted and revealed no apparent abnormalities.
SPLISH SPLASH (J Doyle) – Slow into stride.
KURIMUZON (R Vigar) – Bumped with another runner at the start. Raced wide throughout.

REVOLUTION RISING (L Maloney) – Declared a late scratching at 1.30pm by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice after an examination revealed the gelding was lame in the off-hind.
CHIEF WHITE SOCK (D Hirini) – Commenced to shift out under pressure from the 200m.
BONNY IMPACT (P Denton) – Lay out rounding the home turn. Shifted outwards under pressure from the 150m.
MISS BOOM (J Doyle) – Commenced awkwardly.
PEACE BABY (H Le Blanc) – Veered outwards on jumping. Raced wide entering the home straight. Cast off-hind plate in running.

POMPEII EMPIRE (I Luximon) – Commenced awkwardly losing ground. Passing the winning post the gelding sustained a fracture to the off-fore fetlock and on the advice of the veterinarian the gelding was euthanized.
DEMIQUAVER (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly and veered outwards after jumping.
Due to an incident after the running of Race 4, the last 2 races were put back 10 minutes to start at 2.47pm - Race 5, 3.22pm – Race 6

Trainer R Viney was interviewed by Stewards in regards to the riding instructions he intended to issue his riders as he had multiple runners in this event.
GRINZINGER BISHOP (J Doyle) – Raced wide rounding the first turn. Raced wide from the 600m and on straightening.
GRINZINGER LASS (H Le Blanc) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
On enquiry, Jockey P Denton (ZESTIMAN) pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(b) for failing to ride his mount out to the line and in the opinion of the stewards failed to secure first position. P Denton had his licence to ride in races suspended for 4 N.T. meetings to expire midnight the 8th of July.

KICKATORP (J Philpot) – Jumped inwards contacting the barriers at the start. Rider steadied off heels into the first turn when laying outwards.
MR JONES (J Doyle) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped with another runner. Raced wide throughout.
VALLEY PRINCE (H Le Blanc) – Bumped with another runner at the start.
