Race 1: Airnorth Handicap 0-66 – 1100m
The start of this race was delayed approximately 7 minutes due to a runner becoming loose.
JUMPING POWER TWO (H Le Blanc) – Whilst at the barriers the gelding became fractious, reared and dislodged the rider, galloping riderless for some distance. After being recaptured the gelding underwent a veterinary examination and was withdrawn by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice at 2:13pm.

BRAZEN BON (V Arnott) – Slow into stride. Raced wide early and middle stages. Leaving the 200m rider fumbled her offside reign when attempting to straighten her mount, consequently brushing the running rail.
DAD BOD (I Luximon) – Wide on straightening.
PUB CRAWL (J Doyle) – Slow to begin.
LA BOQUERIA (J Lyon) –A post-race veterinary inspection revealed the mare to have bled from both nostrils. Now subject to the provisions of AR79(4). Trainer C Baxter advised the Stewards that the mare will now be retired.

Race 2: Silk Laser Clinics Sprint BMNT – 1100m
ARIZONA ACTIVIST (J Lyon) – Reared and became awkward on jumping losing ground.
FORMS OF FEAR (J Hampson) – Slow to begin.
FLYING ANNIE (A Sweeney) – Raced wide early and middle stages.
CONVINCEBILITY (R Vigar) – Slow to begin.

Race 3: Rydges Palmerston Handicap 0-62 – 1300m
RAMPAZETTO (C Rawiller) – Shifted outwards approaching the 100m. Rider reminded of obligations to make every effort to keep his mount straight.
STOMP’EM (J Doyle) – The course veterinarian reported the gelding returned with a laceration to near nostril.
DOLCE D’AMOUR (L Maloney) – Raced wide throughout.
ARIARNE (J Todd) – Bled one nostril. The mare will be required to complete a satisfactory gallop over 1000m in the presence of a Steward prior to racing or trialling.
NO I’M NOT (D Barton) – Bounded on jumping losing ground.
COLLISON (R Vigar) – Slow into stride.
TIPSY TORONADO (P Shiers) – Slow to begin.

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
MATRON SAMSING (S Tsaikos) – Raced wide throughout.
SELF SERVE (H Le Blanc) – Raced wide throughout.
DATA SCRAMBLE (W D’Avila) – Slow to begin.
LAVENDER GLORY (W Davis) – Slow into stride taken back across the field.
OCEAN’S JEN (A Sweeney) – Steadied momentarily when close to heels negotiating the 600m turn.

Race 5: Chris Williams Jewellers Handicap C2 – 1600m
UNQUESTIONABLY (C Rawiller) – Wide on straightening.
HELLO MARY (L Maloney) – When questioned rider explained that his instructions were to settle forward, however shortly after the start the mare commenced to overrace and he was unable to settle in the field. Consequently, he allowed the mare to stride and race forward. Rider was reprimanded for using his whip when out of contention (AR132).
1ST FIELDS OF COURAGE 2ND FURY 3RD THE ACCELATOR
Race 6: Rydges Palmerston Cup 0-76 – 1600m
HETTINGER (C Rawiller) – Commenced awkwardly bumping another runner.
VANGUARD LEGEND (J Hampson) – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start. Leaving the 600m, lay in and steadied when close to heels.
ROCK REVOLUTION (J Lyon) – Raced wide early and middle stages. When questioned rider explained that he was instructed to lead if possible, however after racing forward he was unable to obtain the lead, approaching the 400m commenced to tire and yielded ground back through the field. A post-race veterinarian report revealed the gelding returned with an elevated heart rate.
OUR COUVER (I Luximon) – Approaching 400m was taken back through the field and inconvenienced by a tiring runner.
KING AKEED (H Le Blanc) – Over raced middle stages. Near the 600m steadied when close to heels.
VIERI (J Booth) – Slow away.
1ST REMATCH 2ND ICHIBAN 3RD KING AKEED
General:
Trainer M Hickmott advised the Stewards that STORMAGEDDON a runner in Race 6 the AUFS Chief Minister’s Cup (1600m) on Saturday 11th July 2026, had sustained a laceration to the near fore fetlock in a swimming pool mishap. The gelding had subsequently received veterinary attention. A veterinarian report advised the Stewards that the gelding was sound and was clear to race.
Post-race swab samples taken from all winners & ICHIBAN (R6).
Pre-race samples were taken from: AUXILIARY, LITTLEBOURKESTREET, FLYING ANNIE, TIME TO BACA, MATRON SAMSING, HELLO MARY & all runners engaged in Race 6.
Reprimands:
Race 5 - Apprentice Jockey L Maloney was reprimanded for using his whip when out of contention, AR132(6)(c).

Race 8: DCOH Civic Handicap BMNT – 1600m
Trainer M Hickmott advised Stewards that WINE BARRON had recovered well from its unplaced run on Saturday. It was his intention to continue to monitor the ongoing progress of the gelding and if all is satisfactory it is anticipated to start the gelding on Darwin Cup Day (3 August 2026).
Race 9: DCOH Darwin Guineas SW 3YO – 1600m
Trainer M Hickmott advised that after its unplaced run MORGANA would now be sent for a spell.
