Following changes to Sky Racing scheduling, the starting times of the following races were
updated:
Race 3 - Rescheduled to commence at 3.23pm.
Race 1: Bendigo Bank Coolalinga TROBIS Handicap 0-58 – 1300m
MERIMBULA (J Booth) – Raced wide from the 800m, lay outwards severely rounding the home turn and into the straight.
FLASH KERMY (W Davis) – Bumped at the start. Over raced in the early and middle stages. Due to the disappointing performance the mare underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
LAVENDER GLORY (L Boyd) – Bumped with another runner.
1ST SASS 2ND TEE GALLERIA 3RD FUNNYIFITWON
Race 2: Advance Civil Engineering/Ruth Gaden 50+5 Handicap BM54 – 1200m
BIDEN TIME (J Todd) – Slow into stride. When questioned over the geldings disappointing performance the rider reported that the gelding did not handle the kick back and thought it would be better suited over more distance. Subsequently the gelding underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
SOUTHAMPTON FLARE (S Tsaikos) – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. The gelding retuned suffering bleeding from the near-hind frog.
ROMANTIC LOVE (D Gillett) – Knuckled at the start. Due to the disappointing performance, the gelding underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
RED EXTREME (W Davis) – Cast near-hind plate in running.
On inquiry, Stewards issued a severe reprimand to apprentice jockey J Booth (DEBATING) under the provisions of AR131(a) for allowing her mount to shift in passing the 1150m causing ROMANTIC LOVE (D Gillett) to restrain and lose ground.

Race 3: SBA Office National Handicap 0-64 – 1100m
MR MARRAKECH (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner at the start.
PATRIOTIC KING (J Booth) – Lay in under pressure at the 100m.
IF I WAS YOU (D Gillett) – Commenced awkwardly and was bumped by another runner.
TIME TO BACA (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly. Lay out for the majority of the race.

ORDER ONLINE (J Todd) – Lay out severely rounding the home turn.
TEARS ARE FLOWING (D Barton) – Commenced awkwardly throwing its head in the air.
PAFITIS (J Booth) – Raced wide into the straight.

Race 5: National Seniors Top End Branch/Melanie Tyndall Memorial BM76 – 1000m
ARIZONA ACTIVIST (D Gillett) – Commenced awkwardly.
WILD BEAU (J Booth) – Bumped with another runner at the start.
RISING SPHERE (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.
SHIRSHOV (D Barton) – Raced wide from the 600m.
ZING TO WIN (S Tsaikos) – Slow into stride, failing to muster any early speed losing considerable ground.

Post-race swab samples taken from all winners.
Pre-race samples were taken from: FUNNYIFITWON, KESSLER, MR MARRAKECH, TEARS ARE FLOWING & LIM’S BIGHORN.

Race 1 – Jockey B Cray was reprimanded for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).
Race 2 – Apprentice Jockey J Booth was severely reprimanded for careless riding, AR131(a).
