Race 3 - G Clarke

 

RACE 1 – BET365 0-58 HANDICAP 1300M

PERCUSSION PRINCE (D Hirini): Raced keenly in the early stages of the event.

DUMMY SPIT (App. J Booth): Raced wide rounding the hometurn.

PRESS EXPRESS (B Cray): Rider was issued with a reprimand under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on more than five occasions prior to the 100m. In determining penalty, it was noted that he used his whip seven times prior to the 100m and five times over the final 100m, twelve in total.

SAXON BEACH (W Wheatley): A post-race veterinary examination found the gelding to be lame in the left front leg. Trainer P Cole was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required for the gelding, prior to trialing or racing again.

NEW ENTERPRISE (App. D Barton): Trainer P Stennett advised a change of tactics; to be ridden less aggressive in the early stages of the event. Settled back. Began awkwardly. App. D Barton was issued with a reprimand under AR143(12)(c) for failing to provide her winning rides book to the Steward. App. Barton was issued with a further reprimand under AR143(14), for failing to claim her full allowance (-2kgs), down to her minimum riding weight. After considering all the circumstances, App. Barton was permitted to claim 1kg and ride at 54kgs.

 

RACE 2 – BOOK END OF YEAR FUNCTION AT DTC TROBIS CL2 HANDICAP 1200M

ORDER ONLINE (J Todd): Hung out rounding the turn between the 600m and 400m. Rider reported the gelding laid in when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.

ALL INCLUSIVE (App. J Booth): Raced keenly in the lead.

MILK FOAM (W Wheatley): Slow to begin.

 

RACE 3 – AIRMASTER BM76 HANDICAP 1000M

General: The start of this race was rescheduled by Sky Racing to start at 4.24pm.

WILD BEAU (App. J Booth): Contacted at the start by FLYING ANNIE.

FIELD OF FLUTES (J Todd): Shifted in at the start and contacted RISING SPHERE.

RISING SPHERE (D Hirini): Contacted at the start by FIELD OF FLUTES.

FLYING ANNIE (App. D Barton): Began awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with WILD BEAU.

CABLE BOY (B Cray): Slow to begin.

 

RACE 4 – SPORTSBET 0-58 HANDICAP 1000M

MEET ME AT THE BAR (B Cray): Fractious in the barriers, began awkwardly, shifted out, bumped GOD’S EYE and lost ground.

GOD’S EYE (B Cray): Bumped at the start by MEET ME AT THE BAR and lost ground. Raced wide rounding the hometurn.
