RACE 1 – HAPPY 40TH BEDROS TROBIS 0-58 HANDICAP 1300M

TOKYO BANDIT (R Bensley): Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped BIT TIRED ACTUALLY. Raced wide without cover for most of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had shifted its right hind shoe however no other significant abnormalities were detected.

WARREGO (W Davis): Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Laid in when placed under pressure in the straight.

MODS (B Cray): Raced very keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

TEE GALLERIA (P Shiers): Rider explained the gelding was challenged for the lead by CHARLIE MAGIC and placed under pressure for a considerable distance in the early and middle stages, and as a result weakened over the final 150m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

FUNNYIFITWON (D Gillett): Shifted out when placed under pressure near the 200m and hampered PAFITIS which was steadied. Rider was issued with a reprimand under AR131(a) for careless riding.

PAFITIS (J Todd): Began awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 200m had to be steadied when tightened between WARREGO, which shifted in slightly and FUNNYIFITWON, which shifted out. Thereafter, the gelding had difficulty gaining a clear run and was not fully tested.
