Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to his riding instructions as his stable had multiple runners in this event.

METALLIC CROWN (C Spry) – Raced wide from the 700m. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount was under pressure mid race and fail to let down in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer G Clarke subsequently advised that the gelding had recovered from the race without incident.

I AM THE FOX (M Hagley) – Taken outwards at the 250m to obtain a clear run.

Race 3: Benchmark 54 Handicap 1300m

ROSHERVILLE (C Spry) – Crowded at the start.

PLENARY (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 4: 0 – 58 Handicap 1200m

At the request of SKY channel the start time of this race was amended to 5.02pm.

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to his riding instructions as his stable had multiple runners in this event. Dual license holder C Spry was also interviewed in relation to riding instructions as he had multiple runners in this event.

LINDWALL (C Spry) – Fractious in the barriers and dwelt at the start.

TACITURN (B Davis) – Carried outwards and impeded leaving the 150m.

TREGORIK (F Bergstrand) – Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards at the start.

MIGHTY TAX (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly. Rider reported his mount bounded for several strides when resenting the kickback passing the 600m.

MELANION (P Denton) – Angled outwards to secure a clear run at the 150m.

FROM FIFTH (M Hagley) – Raced wide throughout.

OMBROMANI (W Davis) - Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: 0 – 64 Handicap 1200m

Stewards interviewed dual license holder C Spry in relation to riding instructions as he had multiple runners in this event.

LADY ALCATRAZ (B Davis) kicked out in the barriers and after sustaining an injury to the off hind leg was withdrawn by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice at 5.37pm. Stewards ordered that all bets wagered on LADY ALCATRAZ be refunded and all successful bets placed prior to 5.37pm were subject to the following deductions –

Trainer G Clarke was advised that he must present Stewards a veterinary clearance for LADY ALCATRAZ prior to racing again.

EMJYE (P Crich) – Bumped and unbalanced at the start. Steadied from heels when racing keenly near the 700m.

ROSTI (C Spry) – Race wide from the 500m and yielded ground in the straight.

OMINOUS WARNING (R Oakford) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
